Just for fun, on the first hack not called on their press, CSP should do a Selfie and beg for a technical. I always wanted to see a coach just calmly walk out on the court for 'a discussion'.
Reminds me of the time when Johnny Orr was in his first season as coach at ISU. Lefty Moore had "fouled" an Oklahoma player's elbow with his face. The Sooner player was awarded 2 shots, and while the ref was reporting the foul, Johnny was giving him an ear-full. As the zebra walked back to the free throw line, he did not realize that Johnny was following him all the way, still letting the ref have it. When the ref went to give the ball to the Okie, Johnny took it instead and kept on with his rant! It was SPECTACULAR! Johnny got the T, but he also made two important points: that he was not going to just take that kind of crap and he let his team know that he would do everything he could for them. Hilton started filling up more and more after that...

Better days now. But it would still be a sight (and worth the T)!

Johnny was the master. I think it was in his book where I read that he used to tell the ref next to him how awful the guy across the floor was. He said they really couldn't get that mad at him if he handled it that way. He wasn't the least bit afraid to make sure and let the refs hear it if he felt we were getting jobbed. I'd love to see how he handled Bruce Weber's non stop meandering onto the court. If he went after Pitino you can bet he'd go after....

I guess I don't feel that way. Home games against top 10 teams like KU and OU the last few years were bigger for me. The Michigan game with Johnny's last appearance was bigger as far as announcing we were relevant again. The KU road game was bigger this year as far as saving our season.

The 2 seed in KC would be great and picking up another top 10 win on the road would help our resume but there's not that much on the line if we lose. We've got at least a tie for 2nd locked up and can only improve our NCAA seed, ie we're not damaging it with a loss. I thought the OSU game the other night was bigger as far as sending the seniors off right. The term "house money" is being thrown around a lot and I've taken that attitude as well. It'd be a nice win, but it's not a must win.

From a fan standpoint, I feel like it's house money, but Monte sure doesn't sound like he sees it that way. I think the team wants to avenge their loss and secure their legacy by being alone in 2nd place. I hope they can do it!

If we win tonight, we're looking at likely having to beat TCU and Baylor to get Kansas. This path is doable. If we lose, we have to play Oklahoma State in the first round, followed by KU. It's really hard to beat any team 3 times in a year, especially one that's red-hot right now. I don't want anything to do with OkSt in KC.

I'm glad our guys are hungry for this win. Let's see how long we can go before losing our 10th game.

Is anyone else weirded out by this being a friday game? All week I was set to watch the final game on Friday then I heard yesterday that it was a friday game and thought it was a mistake.

Make no mistake. I want it and feel like we owe these guys a few. I'm just trying to give my do or die mentality a couple days off before ramping it back up for the stretch run. I stressed enough the last month that I haven't sat back and really enjoyed these guys and what they're doing. I'm gonna buzz up and enjoy this one (at least as much as you can enjoy WVU prison ball) come hell or high water.

And the correct amount there is enough that whether you're drowning your sorrows or celebrating the win, you won't run out regardless. Cheers!

I fear this is going to be a hard game to watch: WV is going to play "hack a Clone" with very few calls made, and we will get touch foul calls against us all night long. Lets hope for the best.
