follow up question: what pocket do you carry your wallet in?

I have a magnetic money clip/card holder type thingy. Just a few cards and don't carry much cash so works for me. I carry in my front, right pocket.

I carry my money clip in my front left pocket. I travel pretty light; just ID and a few cards.

Standard operating procedure is keys front left, phone front right, wallet back right.

Notable exceptions include at a crowded place like a concert, wallet goes to front right & phone slides over with the keys. Same sort of deal when I'm wearing gym shorts.

Also rocking a trifold black leather @ 28 years young.

Depends on where I am and what I'm doing. If I'm at home it's hanging on a peg. If I'm at work it's on my desk. I don't like having keys in my pocket. Too pointy.

I keep my smart phone in my left pocket with nothing else so it doesn't get scratched. I keep my keys, a tiny Leatherman "micra" pocket knife, and my wallet in my right pocket.

I have learned to minimize the keys that I carry on a normal basis. I commute by bike, so I can leave both my giant push-button Ford keys for my car and my wife's car at home. I just carry my bike lock key, apartment key, two work keys, and a bottle opener on my key chain.

Speaking of pocket knives, does anybody have a recommendation for a functional buy small multi-tool/pocket knife? My Leatherman Micra does the job, but I'm open to better suggestions.

See, I worry about having my keys in with either my phone or wallet...seems like the keys can scratch up either of those items. At the same time, phone + wallet in the same pocket seems a little bulky, and with as often as I check my phone, I'd be concerned about accidentally pulling out and dropping my wallet sometime.

I guess I don't worry about scratching up my wallet. It's a big chunk of leather. Most scratches in leather wear away anyway. My wallet just looks "seasoned" like an old leather jacket after about 5 years of use and carrying it w/ my keys in my front pocket.

Wallet - center console of car about 95% of the time. Otherwise, back right pocket
Phone - back right pocket unless carrying wallet, then back left
Keys - front right
Cash (if any) - front left

I need to switch to a thinner wallet and just have my DL, CC, and DC in it and keep all that other crap somewhere in my car.

Right now, I have a Dave and Busters card, dental card, pharmacy card, health insurance card, a second credit card that I never use, a Sports Clips punch card, and a couple random gift cards that probably have under $2 on them that I SWEAR I'm gonna remember to use some day.
