I am thoroughly embarassed for not having seen Scarface mentioned over the course of 7 pages! I'll give the ladies a pass, but the rest of you are a disgrace...although there have been good movies mentioned.

After Scarface...everything is fairly distant: Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Braveheart, Gladiator, The Doors, Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels, Mallrats, Saw, Shaun of the Dead, Snatch, Fear and Loathing, and Usual Suspects.

Was not a fan of Scarface - it actually bored me to the point of asking what everyone else saw in it...

It's very hard to actually pick just one favorite, but some of my favs are in no particular order:

No Country for Old Men (very recent)
The Big Lebowski
The Royal Tenenbaums
Casino
Goodfellas
Scarface
Bottle Rocket
The Unforgiven

probably forgetting a few

I'll go obscure and then a little more obscure:

Spellbound (the one about the spelling bee, not the classic Hitchcock one)

Heart of the Game (great documentary about HS girls BB, gets bonus points because Lindsey Wilson is featured prominently in it)

The Bridge (Heartbreaking and fascinating documentary about the people who jump off the Golden Gate Bridge to commit suicide)

Can you tell I like documentaries?
