See TCU QB 3 interceptions.

Okay, let's see them. ISU got a pick 6, yes that affects ISU's score. ISU got an interception at midfield which they ended up kicking a field goal off of after gaining 15 yards. ISU also intercepted him with 2 minutes left in the game and sat on the ball - no points. Let's be generous and say that ISU got 10 points off the QB. That still is 27 points all on the offense. Throwing out this entire game is kind of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, don't you think?

Keep in mind that ISU had 3 TD drives of 75 yards each and one TD drive of 80 yards in this game. It's not like they got all of their points off of short fields.

ISU is going to lose a close one in the 4th Quarter. Somthing like 21-24. I also see a kickoff being returned for a ISU TD, A couple close calls all year and it think this is the game is happens.

30-20 Baylor - I think we hang but we'll miss a kick (I think PAT) and it will suck the momentum out of us and they will continue to score and we won't be able to keep up. The offense is just too anemic.

It kills me to go against the Cyclones, but our offensive issues can't be fixed overnight. It's not like these guys will become All-Americans over a week.

If Richardson isn't "ready" now, when will he be? The game has changed. With the right scheme, freshman can play and have a significant impact on the game. I know a program like ISU has to develop players, but QB should be an exception. You usually don't have to beef up like you may on the lines. I say Barnett starts and finishes the game.

I didn't tally the picks, but it looks like more fans are picking Baylor than Iowa State ... in some cases by wide margins.

Which is a bigger factor in that: Assumption that ISU offense vs. Baylor defense is worse than ISU D v. Baylor O? Or less confidence about the team's strength based on the OSU loss? (I imagine if this game had followed KSU loss, almost everyone here would pick Iowa State)

Really shows how fickle fans can be. ISU 37 - Baylor 23.

Fickle: Changing frequently, esp. as regards one's loyalties, interests, or affection.

I didn't hear anyone say that they were no longer supporting Iowa State, they just were answering who they thought was going to win. Just because you love Iowa State doesn't mean you have to be a homer on who you think is going to win.

Fanatic = marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion.

Fanatic > Fickle

This site is all about homerism when it comes to predictions for me. Analyze the risks, but anticipate the win.

Frankly, you hit upon why I rarely provide a prediction in these threads. I am prepared for the worst while I hope for the best. I think it silly to post a prediction that I don't truly believe in. I'm not going to call out people who post reasonable predictions based on what they see rather than some feelings.

Besides, people can be excessively enthusiastic and uncritically devoted to the team while still having realistic expectations for the team. It is possible to be a fanatic while still being realistic.

AMEN!! I'm so sick of the lack of confidence in our fan base due to 1 poor game. Get your head out of your *** and smell the coffee. We have a decent team that will come out strong and confident. CPR will not let this one slip away.

I, like CW, predict 34-31 good guys. In Chris's article, he has a stat about the defense, which is basically holding opponents to about two TDs under their average. If that's the case this weekend, ISU will win.

ISU offense makes BU defense look like the '85 Bears and ISU defense holds BU to half their scoring average.

BU 24 - ISU 10
