Campustown Redevelopment

Have to admit I often forget about Dogtown until we drive by it but I agree Bookstore is priced crazy...but can't blame them they are just like every other college store they are focused on when moms and dads come to spend money. My wife buys a lot from Barefoot. I don't see Rally House lasting long at that location IMHO.

was just in Ames with the fam last weekend

-> Rally House and the MU Bookstore prices are insane. Some decent stuff, but way I-State logo oriented and kinda corporatey feeling to their apparel choices
-> Barefoot Outfitters has decent designs for slightly less. we found a few things there
-> Dogtown is my personal favorite.- much more reasonable pricing and they embrace the retro logos. spent the most here.
Thx for the heads up on dogtown!

Dogtown has been my favorite for years - but they recently switched to a thicker fabric on a lot of their shirts. it's probably technically higher quality, but I like the thin and soft "tri-blend" material over the new "comfort tee" they have. prices and logos are still awesome, just wish they went back to their normal base shirt

I actually like Rally House better than the bookstore. Better selection and the prices are similar. That said, corner of LW and Welch? Sorry, but all the student foot traffic in the world is not going to keep that place open. You need customers with actual disposable income. And for that, you need parking.

There's a parking lot right next to the building.

Rally House has a nice selection but will not buy unless on sale. They are pricey.
ISU Bookstore does give discounts for being a member of the ISU Alumni Association.... not sure if Cy's lockerroom does but I will ask next time I am there.

Cys does either alumni or Cyclone Club.

I'm a member of both so I can't recall which is which but I know I get a discount at the bookstore and cys with one of both of those options.

This is true. And they will frequently do discounts during the football season. This is fair to factor in.
Yeah they'll do discounts per points scored (up to a certain %). With no tax and discount, buy after a big win.
