Looks like first row sports has it listed. I won't post the link because I'm not sure on the legality of the site. I don't want to tarnish the pristine CF image
We have seen some of these firstrow and justin.tv links listed until they fail at game time. ESPNU may be more dependable.

It is on ESPNU... You are correct... Like has been said a thousand times.. there is not a link for ESPN3.. I hope i am wrong but would put money that the game will not be on ESPN3 unless there is another link that shows the Iowa vs Baylor game on ESPN3 not ESPNU

And if people can get the WatchESPN app on there smartphone or Ipad or Android they can watch what is on ESPNU on that device.. It is a differnt service then ESPN3 at this time...

I'm about 95% sure you'll be wrong.

All the games on that upcoming tab will move into the live events tab when they start. The ESPNU on there just means its on normal TV too.

If it wasn't going to be on ESPN3 it wouldn't even be listed on that upcoming tab.

I watch about 75% of my sports on ESPN3. NBA games are REALLY selective about what is and isn't on ESPN3. If it's on the upcoming tab, that tab will say ABC or ESPN and then when the game starts it will be in the live events tab. If an NBA game on ABC or ESPN isn't going to be on ESPN3, it's never in that upcoming tab at all.

For example last week when ISU was on ESPN2, that icon said ESPN2. The game started and it was in live events on ESPN3.

I really don't think you are correct. Previous to this year, nearly all ESPNU games were NOT broadcasted on ESPN3 because they were trying to leverage cable companies into adding it to their packages. This year, things have been a mix. All ESPNU games up until this point for ISU HAVE been shown on ESPN3, but when they are shown, it will have a link on the above listed website as an ESPN3 link, not just an ESPNU link. If it was shown tonight, it would actually have both links, whereas tonight only has the one. In order to be able to use the actual ESPNU link, you need to have access to WATCHESPN, which is different than ESPN3 access only a cfew select able providers like Time Warner give you this access, and you need cable nd ESPN3 access have been listed on the cyclones.com preview of each game, subscriptions with them, not just internet subscriptions. Plus, all games that have both ESPNU aand this one only has ESPNU listed, which goes along with my reasoning. If you click on the the What is WatchESPN link at the top of the page,\ it explains out everything.

I see what you are saying. I stand corrected and will be watching it from a more elicit source then... thanks for saving me a headache later.

Its free. Just go to www.espn3.com

You do need to have a certain internet provider for it to work though. Mediacom works for it

It is an agreement between ESPN and the ISPs. Your ISP must have the partnership with ESPN for you to receive ESPN3. There is no way to subscribe for the service (yet).

Ex. In Des Moines, Mediacom customers have access to ESPN3, but Directv subscribers do not.

You can use it if your internet provider is in partnership with ESPN3.com. For instance, here in Omaha Cox Communications provides it but Centurylink does not. So for those who use Cox, they can log onto ESPN3.com click Cox as their provider and watch til their heart's content. I am not so fortunate with my stupid Century link internet :realmad:.
What about ICS here in Ames? I get it free with my apt.

there was also a ESPN3 link as well as the ESPN2 link.. Im pretty confident i will be right... UNLESS A link shows up for ESPN3..

Just do this... type in the Search Iowa State.. then select network as ESPN3.. the game is not listed..

I've watched every single basketball game ISU has had on ESPNU via ESPN3 this year and probably 10 different football games. Have been able to watch anything significant on ESPNU for about a year now, three years ago practically nothing on ESPNU was on 3 though. For example, NBA games that are not on ESPN3 but are on ESPN will never appear in that "upcoming tab" because they're not upcoming.

I don't even know what you're talking about with these listings.

All the "upcoming" tabs just have the TV station or ESPN3. All of that stuff listed in upcoming with ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU is all going to be on ESPN3 as well. If it wasn't it would not be in the upcoming section at all.

This will be an all time first for me that something espn3.com has as "upcoming" is not on live and archived.

Maybe it's a Comcast thing. If you have Comcast internet, everything on that "upcoming" tab is on espn3.com. It will be the first time in probably 200 games I've watched this is not the case for me if you're right. I didn't even have a TV for about two years so I'm an espn3 junkie.

Holy hell how is this so hard for people to grasp?

1. Open Internet browser
2. Google ESPN 3
3. Click ESPN 3 link
4. Click Iowa State Baylor when the game starts

Yes it's on ESPNU, which you can watch through ESPN3 if you have Mediacom or another provider that supports it.

Just because we're on the Internet doesn't mean we understand the tubes.

Right now, we're reading literally, which is frightening and frustrating us.

Now for my question, is there a way to watch it on mediacom in Waterloo? Sometimes I can find it on channel 109 which is 9.2 or something

An easy way to see if you will be able to watch an ESPNU ONLY broadcast is to click on one that is bradcasting live right now. Currently there is one. It is "Crunch Time" listed under College studio. If you DON'T have access to ESPNU broadcasts the attached pop-up will appear. If the video starts playing, then you are good to go.

While this comment doesn't really help, I am 95% certain that you'll be able to watch it on ESPN3.

Also, for folks with friends in high places (AKA people that have the right ISP): my parents do not have the right ISP. BUT, when they log in as me at their home in Iowa, they can also watch the game there while I'm simultaneously watching ESPN3 in WI.

I'll eat crow if I'm wrong, but I'm really quite certain anybody who can see "Crunch Time" right now, will be able to watch the game live or late tonight watch it in the archives. I think even watching content from the archive section means you can watch ISU tonight, the A&M/ISU game is still archived and maybe a few others.

This game will be a 200 to 1 outlier in my ESPN3 experience if it's not on there. I watch about 5 games a week on espn3 between college fb, college bb, nba and soccer. If it's in upcoming, it means it's upcoming on espn3.

Now 2-3 years ago ESPNU really did mean "never on ESPN3" which is why I can see people thinking it's not going to be on there.
