See I think ESPN is trying to merge "watchespn" and espn3. So yes.. the ISU game is listed but just under ESPNU. Like someone said before.. In the past if the game was on a ESPN channel and ESPN3 it would be listed twice... that is not the case right now..

I can't think of a better way to understand it. I'll give it another try though.

If you click on the ESPN3 link in one of the posts above you will notice each game has the ESPN provider list next to it. They will have ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, or ESPNU. If it doesn't say ESPN3 beside it, you can't watch that game on ESPN3 without a paid membership.

The reason some were able to watch the OSU game from earlier this year is because the game was posted twice. One for ESPNU and one for ESPN3.

Here's an example:
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index/_/
Try watching the BC vs. VT game in this link. If you are on campus you won't be able to, I believe. If you're not on campus, my guess is you won't be able to either.

I could watch the BC vs. VT game just fine.

As an out of state ISU fan, cheap ba$****, and internet nerd I consider myself an ESPN3 expert.

-You have it if your ISP is a partner, it never costs anything, but you have to have a cooperating internet provider. Providers can change their mind, comcast used to not be a partner, but two years ago became a parter.

-Originally most ESPNU content was not on ESPN3, so the people posting that aren't pulling it out of thin air. Last year most, but not all, ESPNU basketball and football started to appear on ESPN3. This year, as far as I can tell all ESPNU fb and bb games are on ESPN3. It has definitely changed so that's a cause of some confusion.

-Tonight's game is already listed on ESPN3, if your provider cooperates you have it for free online.

Can you link that listing? When I look it up, I'm only seeing ESPNU. I would have a living room full of people if it's on ESPN3.

Under "upcoming," I'm only seeing ESPNU.

Oh, I can see how that's misleading.

I believe that just means the regular TV channel. Everything on that entire ESPN3 upcoming tab will be live streaming on espn3. That's always been the case for me. I watch a lot of european soccer on there too and most ISU games.

Link or something. I'm looking at it, seeing something different, but wanting to be wrong. Prove me wrong! I want to be wrong!!

You're looking at the right page, everything on that page should be on ESPN3, just some of them have a "normal" tv listing in addition to being on espn3.

Just double checked -- I am looking at it right now!! ON right after the St John's - Georgetown replay.

It is on ESPNU... You are correct... Like has been said a thousand times.. there is not a link for ESPN3.. I hope i am wrong but would put money that the game will not be on ESPN3 unless there is another link that shows the Iowa vs Baylor game on ESPN3 not ESPNU

And if people can get the WatchESPN app on there smartphone or Ipad or Android they can watch what is on ESPNU on that device.. It is a differnt service then ESPN3 at this time...
