he most certainly can do that. do you think kansas brought in orange bowl championship level talent? 12-1 talent?

As far as "young men"... not sure how anyone can address that either way. none of us have ever talked to him or 99% of any college coordinators.

I'm not against Mangino coaching here but like I said he doesn't seem like a coach that CPR would bring in. But if CPR thinks he can be the type of coach that can develop the players then I'm all in for it.

Not sure if anyone heard Mark Mangino on Bill King this morning but he sounds like he is more than ready to get back into coaching. Said he's heard from several programs just recently. Bill King mentioned ISU after the interview as a place of interest and even said he didn't think CPR would hesitate looking at Mangino. Certainly seemed like OC was the direction Mangino was going toward. Anyway, found it interesting. Personally, I think Mangino would be a walk off 9th inning grand slam hire at OC...not really sure if CPR or Mangino would think that but I do!

Best part is he would probably work for Big Macs and Hickory Park gift certificates.

Mangino won an Orange Bowl coaching KANSAS. Yes I think he would be a fine hire.

Mangino had huge (pardon the pun) success at Kansas of all schools. He can coach. His problem, and the reason he got fired, is because he had such a volitile personality. His AD was dying to fire him because he blatantly tried to tick them off. Once the wins went away, they found the first reason they could and ousted him.
I think that personality gets toned down if he is just the OC and not the head guy. I don't remember hearing anything bad about him when he was a OU. You can tell that he just kept going downhill during his last season at KU. Hopefully, he has learned from that and would be able to channel everything into be a good OC.

No clue if he would ever get hired, but we could hire a much worse guy than Mangino.

without reading 42 pages, is there any coaches with a certain amount of smoke, or are these just a wish list if you will?

Wishlist. CPR has his guy picked out (or he's "waiting") but isn't going to bother with it until after the bowl game.

His public comments and confidence seem to indicate that, for whatever reason, he's got a very good idea of who is waiting in the wings.

Either that or he likes to watch us dance every time he claps his hands.

You are incorrect! Do you just throw s#%t out there? Tom Herman is/was well respected, and would have been the OC next year at ISU had he not decided to take double the $$$ from the head coach he GA`d for at Utah.

And how do you know this? Because right now your word is as good as his.
