Am I the only one who prefers Cincy to BYU at this point?

I'm really sick of BYU's attitude and think Cincy has some interesting potential. It's a big market (although BYU brings a nation-wide following) in very good recruiting grounds. I think they have the potential to really grow their fan following. Ohio is a big state, and there's a lot of room to pick up tOSU fringe fans and grow that program. Especially with a Big 12 slate coming to town.

Plus, it would be a more entertaining/easier road trip.

No I want UL, WVU, and Cincy.

I prefer Louisville. WVU and Cincy. You're not alone.

At first, I was excited by BYU. But it seems obvious to me that they don't want to be in the Big 12 and I'm not sure I want them anymore. The solution is to move East. Louisville, Cincy, and WVU. Not as bad geographically as I once thought. Do it and be done with this business.

Agreed. Cincy or USF id be fine with before a BYU that wants to make a bunch of demands.

Ames to Cincy - 609 miles / 10 hours
Ames to Provo 1186 miles / 18 hours (including the most boring stretch through Nebby)

I'll take Cincy over BYU.

I too want Louisville, WVU, and Cincy. Geography is really big for me and I like the idea of the 4 three team pods. BYU only works if Mizzou stays and Louisville is added as #11.

I want areas with big population and growth potential. New Mexico, Colorado State, and I do like BYU. West better than East for me. And some teams we can beat.

Pass on Cincy AND BYU.....Take Louisville, WVU and find one more somewhere else....maybe UCONN

No way on UConn, IMO. My friends who went to the game said they were some of the worst fans they'd ever encountered, and the atmosphere was crap. Plus, it's a gigantic geographic outlier that delivers a smaller market than Cincy and no new recruiting territory. Cincy plays in an on-campus stadium that has some actual history, and it's an easy drive from here.

Louisville, WVU, and Rutgers. Rutgers is AAU, new football stadium, better market, bigger fan base than Cincy...

From a TV revenue these two schools bring nothing to the table. Big population doesn't mean jack if there isn't support for the program. CSU couldn't even fill their stadium for a game against Boise State. Fort Collins is in the Denver TV market, it is a pro sports market, not a college market. Look at CU, nobody outside of Boulder gave a rip about them, same for CSU.

The minute MU leaves the B12, I hope the B12 comes out with a statement relocating the bball tournament next year and doesn't schedule any more games inside the boarders of Missouri.

I really only see Louisville, West Virginia, Cinci and BYU as realistic targets.

WVU is every bit as bad. Their fans are obnoxious. I'd also like to see another academic heavyweight as well. Maybe Rutgers is a better choice.
