It may have been discussed in the Gameday thread, but I just wanted to give credit to Tampa. He is really starting to stand out. Covers receivers tight with his speed, height and vertical. And plays really smart! You could tell he purposely stuck in his hand to poke that ball out at the goal line. Great instincts! Not enough to just get the stop, but go for the fumble. SO glad he's a Cyclone!!!

I just want to take a minute to show my appreciation to the men's basketball team and the We Will Collective. For those that don't know, they put on a free camp in WDM tonight. It was completely player-led, and the players went above and beyond with their enthusiasm and leadership. My first-grader lit up when he got there and immediately Gabe came over to rebound for him. Just an absolutely awesome experience and we are lucky to have these guys represent the school.

For arresting a 19 year old football player for OWI, even though the kid blew 0.0. Seems this cop just was looking to make an arrest and be an ass. It's annoying. Kid is asking to take the breath test the whole time. Then cop starts accusing him of smoking pot. It's embarrassing for the cop.; I also love how the kid sits the cop down at the end and basically treats him like a kid who lied to his parents.

I'm putting this in Off-Topic, but if it needs to be moved to Politics, a mod can move it.

I feel like this story didn't get a lot of coverage locally (or if it did I missed it). In June of 2020 a 15 year old killed a man that had raped her. This week she sentenced to probation only, but Iowa law requires that she pay $150,000 to the family of the person that was killed. A teacher started this gofundme for her both to repay the money and to help her get some education and start her life. I think it is a worthy cause.

Today was release of Clerks 3. It's a limited release over like the next 5-7 days. It's also in several other theaters across iowa. I went to the first showing at Movies 12 in Ames, Movies 12 has another showing Thursday night. Not going to spoiler anything but if your a fan of the clerks franchise it's a must see.

What really jumped out at me was his comment that they viewed the safeties as a weakness a year ago. Which sheds a lot of light on all of the transfers.

Anyone know if Saturday's game will be aired on ESPN College Extra (DirecTV)? I just got hooked up with ESPN College Extra but can't find a schedule. The only info I can find says "ESPN College Extra brings hundreds of ESPN3 exclusive live college sports events to the TV." - so didn't know if that applies to ESPN+ games such as Saturday vs. Ohio.

Rules/How to Play if you are new:

Pick a team you think will win that weeks game. Pick only 1 team per week.
Don't pm me the pick, post on here your pick.
You can only pick that team ONCE the entire time you are in the game.
The goal is to advance and be the last person standing.
Only games that have a FBS school facing another FBS school are eligible to be picked.
You have up until the start time of the game you picked to switch.
If your team loses, you are out for the competition.
If you skip a week of picks, you are out.
You can switch as many times up until the game you have picked officially starts.
If you have questions, pm me
Post 2 of the thread will have the possible games you can pick.
Post 3 will have each player and their previous week's picks.
You can only pick teams that are undefeated (they will be bolded).
You can't join in during the middle of the season.
Please include prior weeks picks with your pick for the week.
If an undefeated favorite wins and covers the spread you gain a tiebreaker point. If an undefeated underdog wins you gain 2 tiebreaker points.
There is no tiebreaker point due to a undefeated team winning on the road as that is a tiebreaker in the big 12 elimination game.
