Broderson and Johnson clips from media day

They sound like they’re ready to go. Is Johnson’s ailment related to his cardio? What is Devine’s injury? (I think Dresser mentioned he’s banged up.)

Also, Redding is listed at 133 on the roster.

VIDEO from Media Day

Several Interviews here! Had a good chat with Metcalf.

Super excited for this season's freshman! I'm excited to get to work. It's my sixth season just like KD coaching! It's insane how far I've come. As Metcalf said about the team, I've come so far but definitely still plenty of room for growth! Thanks for all the continued support.

S/O to Connor who came with me to do all my videos for me. I'll have a takeaways piece tomorrow!

On That Note: Talk Talk

Another Tuesday, another OTN! My partners in crime for this column weekly are @cyclones500 and @CycloneRulzzz.

This week we're looking for song titles or songs containing lyrics for different ways of expressing ourselves verbally. Words like Talk, Speak, Holler, Yell, Whisper, Scream, Shout are typical of what we're looking for. Noun or verb forms are acceptable as are past tense (Talked, Hollered, etc) or other verb conjugations.

However, we are NOT looking for "Sing" this time.

Also not looking for songs that have actual talking in them unless they also meet the word content requirement above.

Last week's OTN was Oops! I Did it Again found here: https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/threads/on-that-note-oops-i-did-it-again.274064/

RIP Angela Lansbury AKA Jessica Fletcher

One hell of a career and 96 years young.

  • Three time Oscar nominee (Manchurian Candidate, Picture of Dorian Gray, Gaslight)
  • Five time Tony winner
  • 18 time Emmy nominee
Unbelievably she never won an Emmy even playing Jessica Fletcher on Murder, She Wrote. Nominated 11 times for that role...zero wins.

  • Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts)
  • Mary Poppins, Returns
  • Sweeney Todd
  • Death on the Nile

Odd Will McDonald scouting report for 2023 NFL Draft

On one hand it’s a pretty damn glowing review on his potential. Seems like some scouts really do believe he has 1st round potential this next year.

Very weird second paragraph on this here though. Almost makes it insinuate he has some character concerns. I hadn’t exactly heard of any issues like that beforehand.

Should acknowledge that this is from WalterFootball, who’s been known to talk out of his ass from time to time. But who knows. Just thought it was a little strange.

Flo Visit Preseason practice

If you have Flo, here's a nice look at a preseason practice.
The team seems to be looking good. Nice to see all the young guys. Metcalf uses Swiderski for a demo. Schon is looking big and healthy. Paniro looking like a dynamo.
...did I spot Echemendia at the 4:50 mark? I could be completely wrong.

Hope in the soul, or was it soap in the hole?

After 30+ years, flesh and murder gives way to religion. What ever pays the rent.

Greenville's former location of Bucks Racks and Ribs Gentleman's Club — before that the infamous strip club Platinum Plus, and before that Characters Night Life — will soon become the home of the Greenville operations for Spartanburg-based non-denominational Hope Church.

Dancers also could not expose "specific anatomical areas" or perform simulated sex acts."

TV Announcers for the game:

Sarkisian on playing Iowa State:

On Iowa State's strengths

"Coach (Matt) Campbell has done a great job at Iowa State as we all know. These guys have been close in a lot of football games here, most recently the last two. Games coming down to the wire. They play great defense. Probably the best defense in conference, really sound and really disciplined. Keep the ball in front, play good against the run, so we’ve got our work out for us there. They possess the ball offensively. This is going to be a big week for us from a preparation standpoint, mental focus, intensity to get ourselves in position to play well on Saturday."

F.A.R.T. Jeff Woody & Jared Stansbury 10/10/2022

I think everyone on here needs to listen to todays F.AR.T.
Jeff does a pretty good job shifting the blame around and not all on manning.
He reiterates that Manning isn’t calling the perfect game, obviously, but that our offensive woes are not all on him.

Example: Tom Manning is not telling Dekkers to throw to X every other play.

It’s the best listen I’ve heard about our offensive woes so far.
