ESPN's TCU@KU Gameday rating

For me, what it really says is that McAfee is bringing a big time audience with him. I'm not sure it really matters where they are or what game they're featuring.

Agreed, most people are going to turn it on because that's what they do before games start.

That could be true and I ******* hate ESPN But it absolutely matters where they are.

Wasn't this the 2nd or 3rd week with McAfee?

What am I missing on McAfee? I don't see the entertainment factor. I know he has an audience, but why?

The location was a bigger factor. First-time locations always have a little more buzz.

Exactly he's a game changer. They need to make him the focus of the whole show.
The rumor is that that's the plan. Herbstreit is going to give it up, Corso is going to stop traveling and Pat is going to be the star.

I understand why people don't like him but he's definitely made himself a brand and has a really loyal following.

They actually lost me when they brought McAfee on. I moved to Fox's pregame show.
Yeah and then gave that up in Iowa City.

For years though I would tune out Herbstreit too.

But my tolerance for frat bro is about even with JorBo, none

I hadn’t tuned in for a long time until they brought him on recently. Watching a lot more now.

Pat McAfee and Barstool Sports are on roughly the same level, and apparently that's what the viewers like. God help us. I'm a fan of Pat from the days when he played and was on Bob and Tom. I don't follow him at all, but don't actively change the channel when he's on either.

I watched a bit of the Fox Big Game show while golfing when they were in Iowa City. I thought they were great and hope they catch up to Gameday and surpass. But listening to the "Let's go hawks!" over and over was too much to watch long.

Great news! Herbstreit and Pollack are two incredibly boring personalities, and Pollack brings absolutely nothing to the show. Corso is just public elderly abuse at this point, keep hauling him up there until he strokes out one week.

Let Pat bring in who he wantsto the show and bring some life into it.

He's unbelievably bad to listen to. At least from what I've seen from his interview "style" and bro riff on games.

To each their own. Wish the guy nothing but success.

He’s already wildly successful and that will continue.

He doesn’t need your wish.

I think I will stay out of the McAfee pissing contest and just say this is what happens when you mix things up from a fan interest standpoint and get new teams involved. Gameday going to Alabama and Ohio State every week gets old and people want to see something different. ESPN is figuring this out if you look at what they've done for visits lately (App State, Kansas, I think James Madison a couple years ago, etc)
