Preseason, I had this one chalked up an L. Now I am cautiously optimistic. Xavier has played a harder schedule (only because they beat the tougher OSU). Xavier is in the 30-35 range of teams, ISU is in the 110-15 range of teams so it would still be an upset but stranger things have happened!

Analytically we are near the bottom of P6 after 4 games but I think this team will win some games they aren't supposed to with their effort.

I ran the stats, look like we'll win by .2.

7.5% chance. They are way better but that's why the games are played.

Analytically, this years squad is going to be really tough to read/predict. TJ is trying to fuse together a completely new team and I think it's safe to say they are only going to get better. Sure, they are going to take some lumps but these guys play their tails off and that type of effort will go a long ways.

Not exactly sure.
Hard to tell when you have a new coach, mostly new players, new style, and only four games against lighter competition. This team hasn’t been defined yet IMO.

I know most of you, like me, have moved from skeptic to cautiously optimistic. I like what I've seen so far. The 'team' play is impressive. The ball moves around a lot. The defensive switches and traps are well executed. And if not, the body language of the players indicated they knew what they did wrong. The patience on presses has been very good. Our looks are pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised with anything.

It’ll be fun to see our first real test of the year.

I think if our defense is sharp it’ll keep us in a lot of games we’d otherwise be outmanned in. Great opportunities this week.

If they play and shoot like last night I'll call a W. It was fun to watch it all come together for them last night. Realistically I think we still will see the effort, don't know if it will be a W. I don't think they will roll over against any team though.
