Haven't had it in yrs but their rocky road ice cream was legit. Not every time but once in a while our Schwan's man would give us kid push ups. But figuring we'd buy one of those 2.5 gallon tins just about every time he stopped during the summer, it was probably a good investment for him. Every once in a while we could convince mom to either buy orange push ups or drumsticks.

Never had Schwann's growing up cause we weren't rich, but feel like they probably won't be around much longer with all the alternatives there are nowadays.
I have had half a dozen of the ice cream tins in my shop for storage since forever. Classic.
Bringing those back would be a better marketing move for a company to focus on premium product with delivery. They need to be different. You can't sell stuff people can get anyplace else at a higher price in less convenient fashion (b/c the consumer needs to be at home when you stop by) as your business model.
I'm not sure if they have an app. I imagine they do. Does it ping you when a driver is going to be in your neighborhood? Does it accommodate an arrangement where people who aren't home can still get product delivered in a way they are comfortable with? Can customers earn free treats for their kids with a few regular deliveries?

I’ve eaten my fair share of Schwann chicken tenders. Their imitation hot pockets were also a staple of my childhood.
We weren’t regular customers when I was a kid, but would get stuff during the summers when my mom was on break from teaching. She would always get those giant tins (4 or 5 gal I think) of frozen strawberries and frozen sliced peaches to divide up into smaller containers to have on their vanilla ice cream during the summer/early fall. Agree on their delivery side, but it sounds like they have other brands that they make that you can find in the grocery store, like Red Baron pizza.

I used to work for Willis Towers Watson, the company that owns the naming rights. They are a consulting and brokerage company.
We didn't get it a lot but my grandparents who lived in a small town did. You think back to the 80s/90s and small towns were probably great for their business model. Especially people that only had one vehicle.
My favorite joke was people wanted to name a shorter building nearby “Arnold Tower”. Obscure 80s sitcom Different Strokes reference.
I agree and this is where I don't get how they make money anymore. Growing up, our nearest Hy-Vee was 30 miles away and didn't have near the selection it does now. For us, the treat was to drive to Cedar Rapids and hit the Sam's Club maybe once a year, but that was 45 minutes from our house. Schwann deliveries allowed us access to all these other frozen foods we couldn't get at our local Hy-Vee right at our front door!
Now, my little town has it's own grocery store, plus Dollar General. There's are multiple Hy-Vee's within 30 minutes, as well as Wal-Mart.
If you went by this, none of the 'fresh' food home delivery outfits would now make it either.
I laughed a little too much when the Hancock building was losing its name. A tweet asking for suggestions came up with this beauty of a suggestion.....

I'll admit to living a pretty spoiled childhood. My dinners were filled with ice cream, pretzel dogs, and when I felt a little fancy some Chicken Cordon Bleu cooked in the microwave. That PB and Chocolate ice cream had huge PB chunks. Maybe I need to get them to start delivering. Just looked at prices.....Yowsa. No wonder my dad had to drive 100k miles a year in the semi to pay for his fat kids Schwans habbit.
Cultivate a brand for 3/4 of a century and go with a rebrand…that’s a bold move.
