Would this be considered pathetic?

HOWEVER, You should have wandered over to Kildee Hall and learned the facts about animal production. Being a vegetarian alumni of one of the premier Ag schools on the globe is truly pathetic.

Oh trust me, there will be plenty of Cyclome gear worn and beer being drank (drunk? Dranken? Drunken? Whatever). In fact, if they when, depending on how many buckets down I am, drinks may be purchased by me for the bar. That's how I ended up with a 450 dollar tab the night of the ISU/Oklahoma State football game...

So, I've got a die-hard basketball fan friend that othen goes out and watches ISU games with me (he's a Hoosier fan, but loves Hoiberg from his time with the Pacers) but he's out of town this week. It's my understanding that the Iowa State alumni group were not doing a game watch for this game in Indianapolis. So, if I went to the bar, on my own, on a Saturday night, and ordered a bucket of beer and watched the game, would it be pathetic?
Heck no. And why would the alumni group NOT be getting together to watch this game?! That's crazy business.

If I'm ever in Naptown during a game, I'll have to hit you up. Was born there, all my extended family still lives there (Zionsville).

Will be back for the race in May.

I actually live in Carmel, so I'm well familiar with Zionsville.

And trust me, it'll be more than one bucket, regardless of how the game goes.

As for the alumni association, they're a good group, just generally tend to get together more for football. Maybe that'll change come tourney time. Iowa State doesn't have a huge following in the Indy area. When I wore my ISU garb down to Super Bowl Village, I got a few "Go Cyclones" but for whatever reason, got a lot more "**** Iowa State"s.

Apparently because I studied journalism in a well known Agriculture school, I'm contractually obligated to eat meat the rest of my life? They should really let students know that in the orientation. But, I digress, I really have know desire to have this discussion in a thread that has nothing to do with it. If you'd like to continue in the appropriate thread, I'd be just fine doing so.

Sit at the bar and then you will make friends with the bartenders. That's what I do while traveling.

Go someplace that has an actual bar to sit at. Sitting at the bar has made drinking alone socially acceptable for decades. If you get a table, yeah that's pathetic.

I have sat alone at the bar at Fox & Hound on more than one occasion for the sole purpose of watching a Cyclone game. They have plenty of TV's so you can also catch some other games during the break, and they have pretty good sandwiches as well. and have always been willing to put the Cyclone game on a TV for me. And there is a F&H in Carmel so grab a seat, sit back and enjoy a Cyclone victory. (The wondering eyes are looking at the waitresses, same as mine do).

Well, the ISU journalism program isn't what it used to be...

No, in all honesty, I've been boozing throughout the day already. I've noticed most of my posts have had spelling errors this afternoon. It's bound to only get worse.
