I was reading something the other day that said Chrome will catch Firefox in terms of market share soon...made me wonder which browswer the people of CF use most often?

Switched from IE to Firefox about 2 years ago. Have not looked back.

Chrome at work, Chrome at home. IE9 is a step in the not terrible direction though, relatively speaking of course.

I had been a long and devoted Firefox user, but have recently switched to Chrome. From my experience, Chrome is faster and less buggy. However, there's no sidebar for favorites in Chrome which took some adjustment.

At the end of the day, as long as you don't use IE, I think you're in pretty good shape.

I am not a Chrome hater at all...my wife uses it all the time and praises it. I just really like FF so I haven't experimented much with Chrome. It looks so basic...but I am sure it is more complex than it looks.

Chrome at work, Safari at home. Just converted from Firefox at work, got a new Lenovo, which had Chrome Installed. About a week in and I can't complain about it.

I've tried Chrome and really liked it but I've never made the permanent switch from FF. Any opinions on FF vs. Chrome?

I use Chrome but probably shouldn't.
I thought I've read Google Chrome comparable to spyware.

I made this switch a few months ago as well. I was having crashing issues with Firefox for some reason. Chrome has treated me nicely.

Chrome at work, Chrome at home.

for some reason, Chrome is not allowed where I work. Our Network manager had banned it. No Chrome. No Google taskbar. No google desktop. Not sure the reasoning, but it is strictly forbidden. Firefox isn't allowed for most end users, either. And I understand that. Our users make use of a lot of older web based applications that simply do not work with browsers other than IE.

In IT, however, we are free to run Firefox, but not Chrome, and I can't figure out why.

In what way? I use Chrome, the only thing that bugs me about it is the web interfaces of some of my IT equipment wont display on it.

You have the ability to have a "favorite" bar at the top and then also bookmarks. Maybe you have found this already but thought I would point out.

ahh, is that the issue that IT people have with Chrome? That might explain why it's banned, where I work. What types of things have trouble with it?

I am a bit surprised at the number of users Chrome has in this poll compared to the others. Guess the article I read was using good research as it seems Chrome is becoming very popular.

I have tried to use the portable version of Chrome but every time I close it I lose my bookmarks/favorites. That is a pain...I do like the portable version of Opera but not enough to use it as my primary portable browser (FF).

My firewall is ok with it, but some of my dell switches freak out a bit. Im sure it will get better as newer stuff comes out. There is no excuse not to make your equipment compatible anymore. Occasionally I get flash hangups in Chrome, that may be my only other gripe.

I dont let my end users use it because I dont want to support it should issues arise with any web apps they may have. Plus they tend to want it to hide their histories since group policy cant control it.
