I was actually thinking Ted Nugent, but you can never go wrong with Muddy Waters. Either way, as long as it stops the exodus, I'm satisfied.

Here's one that will get lodged in your head. Bizarre song.

On its own it seems pretty bizarre. It starts to make more sense when you realize that it is a number from a musical - Chess.

Was on hold hell today. Crappy tinny sounding earwig stuck in my head..

Black Betty, wham ba lam - Oh Black Betty wham ba lam.
Black Betty had child, wham ba lam, the damn thing ran wild, wham ba lam.

And to top it off, when I finally got off hold the guy wasn't able to help me after all.

GRRRrrrrrrrr.

I'm trying to imagine being part of a planning session when a committee chose "Black Betty" as the best choice for hold-music.

Thousands of songs could be worse — but how did that one rise to the top of the speed-dial?

I used to regularly call a place that had some classical guitar as their hold music. It was a nice reprieve on a hectic day. I commented to my consultant a few times that he didn't have to pick up so quickly.

It was just some random Classic Rock station that was hooked up to their phone system. Chatter between the songs.

For the last day or so... And it randomly transforms to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". I must have subconsciously combined them as the melody lines are very close - even though the songs styles are nothing similar.

I love(d) that song so much because of FIFA as well haha. But playing as much as I do, you wish they updated their playlist with every live update.
I really liked the song last summer when it was on Alt Nation!
I liked the song after buying FIFA.
I now tolerate the song after watching Copa America on FS1...
