Does he even play defense?
That would be a huge get. Judging by his HS offers, he'll be a very high $ prospect.
We can have Neil update his song...
ISU is bringing in highly rated freshman guards and wings. youth can play on the perimeter. in the post you need men. portal transfer, 2 years to play, grown ass men.
i dont doubt ISU targets a combo guard as well.
Eventually we have to play or develop freshman or we will stop getting HS recruits to take us serious. I know Milan and Tamin have played, but they are the only 2.In this era it’s best to have grown ass men at as many positions as possible.
Next year is another FF contender if we replace Jones and/or Gilbert. I don’t see the staff banking on that being with freshmen
We’ll try to add a transfer, and 5 years ago we’d absolutely land one. Now it depends on how much we can pay, but imo they’ll find one

DWat is playing meaningful minutes.Eventually we have to play or develop freshman or we will stop getting HS recruits to take us serious. I know Milan and Tamin have played, but they are the only 2.
Played at Moravia HS, true story, her husband's name was Peters. I actually saw her play in HS.
The 5th and 6th year thing isn’t going away. JUCO players are now eligible to play 4 years after JUCO. The NCAA has floated allowing 5 years of eligibility. Medical redshirts and exemptions seem more frequent than ever.DWat is playing meaningful minutes.
Besides, don't you think the chances of freshmen playing as freshman have been skewed by the opportunity for 5th and 6th year guys to play an additional COVID year? Don't you think it will normalize at least a little when those guys with a COVID year are all gone from the system? I mean it is tough as a 17 or 18 year old to have to compete against 22-24 year olds.
There was another Iowa basketball player named Chanda leer. Don’t know where she played, just that my dad heard about her.Played at Moravia HS, true story, her husband's name was Peters. I actually saw her play in HS.
There was a 6-2 player, Shanda Berry who played Iowa 6 on 6 and then made the transition to 5 on 5 college ball and played for Iowa. I think her cousin was a standout Iowa State player, Carmen Jaspers. There was another Iowa basketball player named Chanda leer. Don’t know where she played, just that my dad heard about her.
Tyrese Hunter too. This is the only year a freshman hasn't been a major contributor.Eventually we have to play or develop freshman or we will stop getting HS recruits to take us serious. I know Milan and Tamin have played, but they are the only 2.
I would love for him to come back (obviously), but his case is very different than the others that have received additional years.I think especially since this is the first year they're dealing with this JUCO stuff, if you played JUCO you're going to be able to come back. The NCAA is likely to be more lenient right away. I don't think Curtis already using his COVID year is going to affect that.
