Dix would absolutely be a take. If he played for anyone but Iowa you would all agree.
Agreed. Doubt he ends up here, but amazing to read such ignorant takes. Dix would be a great addition and I would not say that about any other hok.

Batemon and Mitchell will likely play some and Nojus is also going to be earning some minutes.

If ISU is adding, I would like to see them pick up a bouncy long armed big.

Yeah, I’d take Dix no question. Don’t know if he’d start here, but you can’t turn down a big guard that is a knockdown shooter. That said, I agree on the big. Jefferson is playing himself into a draft pick.

In the portal after the season. Dude is clearly not having fun playing for Iowa. He is their best player and can knock down the three. I think he has mailed it in at this point. His body language right now is terrible playing for Iowa. Should we go after him when he hits the portal?
0% chance….I would hope

Not sure he’d be a draft pick without improving his outside shot, which I hope he does.

From what I've watched, Dix is a solid player, and pretty good shooter. I wouldn't pass on him, but I wouldn't be heartbroken over not landing him either. Honestly, Fred could really, really use him in Lincoln, they are struggling behind the three point line, badly.

i think JJ is back next year. he can make more in NIL than he will in the G League. but having a more athletic and lengthy big for setting traps would be a good add and something that is lacking on this years roster. jackson cant really trap at all and chatfield isn't much better. they have different strengths to their games.

The bad traps from Jackson and Chatfield have really hurt us at times, allowing the offense a relatively easy pass for a wide open 3. We gave up a bunch of those in the Zona game, but it's been an issue all year. Probably the biggest thing we need to figure out before the dance.

It’s not a bigger need than replacing Gilbert and Jones though. And it’s much cheaper to fill.

Not an either/or imo. We’ll add an older 3rd big that likely has very modest offensive stats, but can play defense at this level. And spend anything we have left on a guard that can score/shoot
