Ya. They will have to find a value add like Hason Ward. They can let the rich schools get in bidding wars over known commodity guys from the P5.
Also, with the profit sharing or whatever they are calling it next season, won’t ISU be on a little more comparable footing to the other P5 schools?
100%. It’s a bad defensive scheme full of uninspired defenders. It’s really hard to look the part of a defender in that system.
He’s not too different than Jones was at Buffalo.

Maybe I was confusing him with Sandfort? Idk, I've only seen them play a couple times and they all looked like the same skinny, soft players who just occasionally shoot really well.

Dix would absolutely be a take. If he played for anyone but Iowa you would all agree.
I am honestly surprised there are so many Dix lovers in this site. Good for all of you, but keep quiet about it. Assuming most of you do live in Iowa, that’s frowned upon in this state.
Some guys, they need to be in the right environment, and then they learn to compete better. I would definitely take a look.

We have Heise for another year, and I do think Dix would be better than Heise I'm just saying we'd have two guys in that position coming off the bench because we are going to go out and get someone to fill Gilbert's role. That guy is not Dix.
I assume they will go after a bit to fill the Robert Jones/Chatfield enforcer role. Also likely a combo guard who can create his own shot unless Curtis can come back.
They aren't rolling with only Tamin Nojus, Batemon and Mitchell in that role. They will definitely try to find more experience. Maybe the young guys beat out the transfer, but it will happen.
I am pretty sure if any TJ guard played for Fran, it would look like they don't play defense. I don't know Dix well enough to judge, but I do know Fran well enough to believe there could be unlocked potential in any player.
I’m pretty sure Dix would be a good defender under TJ. Pretty sure Dix is just in a system that does not care about defense
