It’s hilarious how nobody wants to talk about the number of players that have left the program over the last 10 years or so. This isn’t a recent issue with players entering the portal. The blind BF loyalty is so predictable… Bill rebuilt the program and has had a heck of a run but it’s time for a new era.
Rebuilt the program? Before Bill came to ISU their best they ever did was 4th in conference and only 5 seasons with a winning record (out of 22). He has had two losing seasons in 28 years. He built the program from four straight single digit win seasons to 17-12 his first year. Has he slipped since those days . . . probably. I don't know, I am not a D1 college coach or evaluator.
We ALL want the best for the team and the glory days to return. And we especially all want to beat EIU.

I don't think you have to be an expert basketball coach to know that if your best player ends the game with 3 fouls but only played 19 minutes, she was on the bench too much. This isn't rocket surgery.

I didn’t even think Iowa could get even more unlikeable…and they have! Jan is a drama queen! And not it’s not just CC, it’s every player acting like her!

Weird…..talked to a few ISU fans who marveled at Lucys demeanor and how smiley the whole team was and how much fun it looked like they were having and the Iowa State girls weren’t.

Could just be you

There's no other way to put it but this team is unconscionably terrible offensively. There no excuse for them to be this poor.

Defensively you can't have a good defense with Audi...she's basically Georges Niang where you hope her scoring covers up her defensive liabilities.

Shooting wise I believe Iowa State played the best game they have all year, against a very good defensive team. Unfortunately, their lack of skill and athleticism in the guard court was their undoing.

In the presser Bill needs to say that in this environment it's really hard to win which is code we got screwed by the refs.

Well, look at it this way, if I had lost, they would’ve thought they got screwed. I stress “they” because I’ve never been one to blame officials for a loss

The refs kept Iowa in it…. and then we predictably collapsed down the stretch.

It’s like Bill doesn’t even care anymore. Acts like an a** most of his career, but tonight just lets his girls get shoved all night and doesn’t say a word.

I might remind you Iowa started the game 0-9 from three point range and I’m pretty sure we’re shooting under 35ish % from the field for much of the first half… Could be that kept Iowa State in the game

Just sayin ‘

Assume he must have complained or called about something. They aren't talking "calls" but "administration" of something. Can't really think of anything that would warrant a statement regarding "administration". Maybe the late review of the hand hitting Audi in the face but that more a late call and not really administration. If you watch much WBB basketball at all you have seen that sort of call a bunch and a lot of the time it's WAY after the incident. I don't like the going back in time for reviewing a missed call. If they miss it they miss it. Not the same as stopping play with an immediate call and than reviewing to see if they got it right.

Sounds a lot like Fennelly being his old passive aggressive self and amping up the fan base victim mentality that we are always being cheated on. It's as tiresome as it is timeless with him.
I disagree only because it'd be really easy for someone to just go out and say "no that isn't what happened, we got called". Very easy to call the bluff. I agree with the other poster it was likely about what should've been a call of a flagrant when Joens got hit. I'd be surprised if it was about a call that the officials called in our favor, even after a lengthy review. It does say a few things, so maybe both of them were discussed.

And not addressing you, but just in general on this whole situation. I fall somewhere between "the refs were bad enough that we lost because of them" on a technical note - there was enough that didn't get called/got called wrong, that technically we probably would've come out ahead, but also that we made more than enough mistakes to doom us on our own. At some point for officials to get better, they are going to have to receive pushback on things like what happened in the game. We can't just keep letting them off with "oh that's how WBB is officiated". That may be the case, but we cannot let that become the standard.

**** this game.

Nope and read this slowly. TWO THINGS CAN BE TRUE AT THE SAME ******* TIME!

Actually, way more than 2 things can be true at the same time…

ISU shot out of their mind. The 2nd best shooting performance all year vs the 2nd best defense they’ve played all year. They regressed in the 2nd half…

Iowa St poor backcourt is why they lost…

Their 3 best players had 16 TOs between…

Iowa is very sketchy from outside, but after starting 0-9 you knew it wouldn’t continue as they finished 8-16…

Audi got super tired…

The refs let them be very physical. I was shocked by the amount of arm slapping they slipped both teams. But Iowa is more physical and athletic.

In short Iowa can’t shoot and ISUs guard play is poor. At the end of the day, Iowa has better athletes and better defense
