And an ex coach at another school (who is my Final Four dark horse this year).Crazy to think that we’ve had 3 separate coaches over the span of Fran’s time at Iowa that have all made Sweet 16’s..

We haven't player Baylor for a National Title yet though.Do you realize how big of a hole he was in when he got there? It takes decades to recover from a coach like Lickliter. It'd be completely unheard of to win...and I'm just pulling this number out of the air....say 2 games one year and then make a Sweet 16 the next. That just doesn't happen. Ever. Never ever.

In twice the time no lessIt'd sure be embarrassing to have fewer Sweet 16's and Conference Tournament Titles than a bad coach like Prohm...
ancient history lolI remember the last time ISU fans were laughing at Garza for practicing deep threes, then he proceeded to hit about 5 in a row as Iowa and Garza trounced ISU.
A lot of ISU fans were wavering on Prohm before he coached 1 game, to be fair.In December? Sure, fans are going to be there for a rivalry game.
ISU fans were wavering on Prohm after a weird season prior and other red flags.
There were other signs that ISU was bad and Iowa fan players jumped on the opportunity.
That's funny that you're still basking in it like a good little Franny follower though.
It's something in the water in Iowa City. The women's team is the same way with the Caitlin Clark the Great. What I’m laughing at is that for all the blabber Iowa fans like to make about how great Garza and Keegan were, they combined for one NCAA tournament victory the last two years. Great stats?- sure. Impact winning?- ehhhh, not so much.
Bowen will be the starting PG. Conner will be the second guy off the bench.

May be the Swiss Army knife subs all five positions.Marge is on line 2, would like to talk to you...
Fran is 63, a head coach for approximately 25 years at four different schools...and never made it to a sweet sixteen. He is like your companies middle of the road sales rep...never the best, never the worst...just drinks the free beer at the companies annual golf outing wearing the same brown pair of cargo shorts the past ten years. You avoid him at all cost because all he does is complain and asks stupid questions. Yet the company keeps him around because he is such a pain and leadership doesn't want to deal with him....they just want him to retire.and have the better overall program in this time frame

He is an interesting dude, seems to be at odds with about half the other HOK posters over on HR.
It’s a little weird.Odd. Is it normal for NBA franchises to do stuff like this after firing their employees?
