JFC. So many idiots in this thread. Campbell is not firing anyone. ANYONE. Just get it through your ignorant heads that this is our staff for this year. NO ONE IS GETTING FIRED no matter what some keyboard idiot says.

You want to drive Matt off? This is how you crack open that door.

Drive him off with what is being said on a message board? Please, I'm sure he would be the first to tell you that after that performance.......he deserves it.

What, do we just keep giving him at-a-boy's because of the memory of what ISU use to be? Along with success comes expectations. And here we are. I'm sure he would rather be in this situation than the alternative.

Executing plays = pretty good play calling. Not executing plays = pretty bad play calling. Last two weeks we haven’t executed plays against good Ds.

Dragging receivers across the field in front of their LTG, is pretty standard play. We dropped passes, ran wrong routes, threw to double coverage, threw to wrong routes, missed blocks. Starting RB hurt (I also think Dekkers is injured). This isn’t OC issue.. yet.

What I didn’t like from the coaching staff is what seems a lack of countering their aggression from the edges. Needed some hard counts … they were jumping at our cadence. Needed them on their heels at times, and we didn’t try.
Kansas is not a good defense. They give up 400 yards a game, and had given up 27, 30 and 42 against FBS opponents. Meanwhile, we ouutscored Tennessee Tech by 2.

They played with their ears pinned back…. So they looked good. We didn’t counter that.

Brock getting hurt completely changed the game. He was getting 4-5 yards a carry and that made it easy for Dekkers to complete short passes. For some reason, after he got hurt the OL just stopped playing. Not sure if KU saw something, but it got really ugly fast.

Maybe bring a smidge of creativity to the play calling?

Like what?

What is ISU capable of with the players available?

Or is this another 'just do what Ohio State does!' without seeing why it is that Ohio State does what they do.

Missing Norton as well. Two smaller young running backs. True soph and RS freshman. They struggled. Team just lost a tough Baylor game. Team didn’t show up. Freshman FG kicker had a day from hell. Kansas rode emotion and home game and made enough plays with the infamous lack of Cyclone luck. Campbell is not going to throw anyone under the bus. They are his players and coaches and he will handle it. We lost two very close games. Now 3-2. Lots of football to be played. We are dinged up. Need Brock and Norton back for sure. Brock is a great blocker and Dekkers surely missed him in protection.
