I saw that "sidewalk" that runs down the hillside to under the bleachers. It is tiered with landings that are several feet long with small step-downs. I thought it was for heavy equipment to be level while working, but now I wonder if that may become the new access to the endzone section. However, the sidewalks leading up to the sides of the stadium (which connects with the top of the new hillside "sidewalk") are also torn up.
Unrelated to the SEZ, but man do our turf people do a good job of maintaining that field. It's no wonder they've won awards for it. It looks like lush green carpet.
I don't think JP cares about setting any records this year. He is much more concerned with selling the new Endzone Club seats.
Only selling hillsides as season tickets was part of it I think. Cut down on the hillside tickets they used to save for single game tickets.
Better hurry up and get it finished before all the NDSU fans get here. Not sure how we are going to fit all of them...
You know its good when people from other schools think it's artificial turf until they see it up close, in person.
I drove by a little while ago. Construction is in full swing. I thought they were just doing utilities but it looks like they are going to start footing and foundation work soon too.
I stopped by on sunday (8\3) and took a walk around the stadium, taking pictures as i went around.

I thought someone was stalking the airport during the realignment when people were posting flight tracker info here and some flight was going to land in Ames.
