I really wish Iowa would've blown out UNI yesterday. They had to play hard the entire game to win that one, whereas in recent years the games they played before coming to Jack Trice were against complete patsy's, and the starters were basically making plans for the night by the third quarter. They never had to make any adjustments or focus much on what they were doing wrong. Then they'd stroll into Jack Trice, over confident, and get whipped. By staying close and then winning the way they did yesterday, I have a feeling they're going to come out strong and focused at Jack Trice this year.
Then again, maybe by almost losing to UNI, they're sitting there questioning themselves today, and they'll come to Ames and struggle.
Either way, on paper I still think Iowa is a much better team than ISU. But in this series that doesn't mean a thing.
Clones win.
