Testifying
Some of you really need to let go of the past. Adam did what was best for him. Talked to Sean and Shellie following an ISU WBB game. He said Adam is done playing basketball overseas and is now residing in Eastern Iowa.
There might be a few people on here that hate him but I think there is also a lot that wish him well. I think that his father was on the radio during the Eustachy fiasco and said that Adam was staying in Ames, he is getting his degree here, etc. and Adam pretty much transferred within a week. I think that kind of rubbed people the wrong way.

Why would people have a problem with that. It's not like he was a firmly-entrenched head coach or anything...

thanks for the refreshing name haluska..
adam chose to leave iowa state over some peeing match. history is fine and i wish adam well in his career.

sean came to iowa state and left iowa state with honor for the cyclones.
i thought the younger brother blake was a senior this year, but he must have graduated from high school a year back and is going to eiu university.he will probably develop at eiu and come back and kick our butts if he is the eiu squawks qb.

i thought blake was a pretty decent high school qb and football player/ath.
thought maybe we should get these good iowa athletes to walk on and earn a scholarship in their respective sport... i guess you win a few and lose a few.cheers! go cyclones!!again thanks for the refreshing story about the haluska boys.

In my humble opinion, no true Cyclone fan wishes Adam Haluska well. I believe 99% of Iowa State fans have a pure, unadulterated hatred of Adam Haluska

Then I am in the 1% of Cyclone fans that doesn't hate him and has moved on. I think there are more with me than you think.

If I remember correctly (and if anyone definitively knows, please feel free to step in and correct me), at the end of the 2002-03 season, there were rumors that Adam was going to be transferring out that got so out of control that Adam felt compelled to issue a public statement that he was going to be staying at Iowa State, and meanwhile, behind the scenes, Adam's meddling father was lobbying the WM coaching staff to hire a buddy of the Haluska family's as an assistant coach or director of basketball operations or something like that. When WM didn't hire the guy, the Haluska's threw a hissy fit and that is when Adam did indeed transfer to Iowa.

Sometimes I think college athletics would be so much better if we didn't have all these idiot parents who think their kid is going to be the next Micheal Jordan complaining about lack of playing time for their kids and trying to manipulate coaching staffs.

Regardless, while I don't stay awake at night thinking about ways to cause bodily harm to Adam Haluska, I'm not going to just blindly accept that he and his family are really great people either. That situation was about as poorly handled as it can get, and left a foul taste in my mouth.

I was not impressed with Adam. He left when we needed a scorer for the next year. He lost us some games when he departed. Dendy and Ham are about as bad since we have no real inside game this year. Lucca the Bomber was worse.

If Clones had decent backups, then go. If you know the team is hurting and you can contribute significantly and you jettison your little self to another program, I am not impressed.

His mom is a hella nice lady. I used to work with her in Carroll. I don't hate Adam for his dads decision, but I do mock people in around here that bring up his name. It's kinda funny to see peoples faces when they are all excited about meeting him and you throw out a OOOOOOOOHHHHHH Adam.

What was the name of that kid that transferred when McDermott was coaching?

That would be at least a two-page thread in itself.

You're the one who posted something outrageous. You should have to justify your opinion instead of making inflamatory remarks.

Go away troll

You're kidding me? Hating Adam Haluska is outrageous? You sound like a Chokeye fan...

1. He transferred to Iowa
2. Good players who transfer hurt the program
3. His father made a spectacle
4. He left when the program needed stability
5. He had the audacity to return to Hilton as a spectator

As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, he walked on at Iowa last fall as a QB. He moved to WR for their scout team. Some reports said they were extremely impressed with him at WR.

You need to let things go dude. As a guy who knows all the Haluskas, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Its really easy to spout off on someone when you dont have your real name next to your statements because then you dont have to fully own your words and all your doing is hiding behind your computer taking breaks from your WOW account. The fact that you and others hold onto personal angst against someone you dont even know just shows how sad and pathetic your life has become.
