I don't pick a lawn care instrument in an attempt to earn the respect of my neighbors.

My neighbors respect me because I am a successful business man...because I have a loving wife and 2 great, well-behaved kids...because I generally care for others and often times go out of my way to show some empathy to a lesser person in an attempt to make them feel like they are on my level, if even for a brief moment...because I give considerable time and money to various local charities...and because I have a kick *** lawn, which other real men appreciate.

Mock me all you want, but someday when you aren't living in the dorms or some rented double wide you will understand the pride a man takes in the lawn that he owns and nurtures.

I predict a flaming bag of pooh in your near future.

Way up there

I recently read that men who have no control over their marriage or professional lives often resort to freaking out over their lawn so they can feel like they control something in their lives. Looks you're coping with your issues well...congrats.

Hmmm, could be the posting legend known as NLP, or an imposter. Either way let Monster know that he's still a gigantic piece of **** for me. Good to see ya over on the darkside, things boring on HL today?

I'm sure you could send Monster an email yourself. I'm sure he would love to hear from you. Be sure to use your email account though.

You'd better czech who you are dealing with here. NLP is owning you, pal. That's how he rolls.

Ummm, this is just plain stupid. See here, brother. I don't frequent other boards. I don't believe in "owning legends" that get their kicks making up stories on the internet. I don't care. Nada. Nunca. Nadie.

So this legend got what he wants. Big deal. He may be a huge success duping people on message boards, but that means little to the rational people of the world.

So, good for him and his following. I guess he sure "got" me.

Back to what I have been doing in between 3-4 hour naps: Drinking rum.

I think all the people responding to this, giving morality lessons and getting infuriated with this whole thing made this guys day. You all played right into him.

So do you work while on the sauce or call in sick?

I am a "consultant." I do work with ArcMap and Arc GIS for hire. Due to a high yield in investments this year, I actually have been turning down work. Last year I couldn't find work, and now I get to turn down jobs that don't interest me.

I usually have deadlines that are easy to meet. I go to the site and gather the information I need, then get to work.

Last job was tracking deer herds in Illinois. Before that it was proposing a site for a bridge.

I also have a small Handyman Service, but since I don't advertise, I rarely get calls.

It ain't about being tough...it's about having respect for others and their property.

I spend at least 2 hours a day on my lawn and I don't want that time to be wasted so my kids are not allowed on it. If they want to play outside there is nice park with swings, ball field, basketball goal, and much more just 7 blocks away.

So if my kids aren't allowed on it I sure as heck am not going to allow other neighborhood ruffians to track their little Nike's (no Traxx in this area, we are the upper crust after all) thru my Sod of God.

I lost it here. Great stuff.
