SMILEY FACE KILLERS

Okay, discuss this all you want in here. Let's keep the other thread about finding Jonathan Lacina. For those who don't know about the Smily face killers, here is a overview: Smiley Face Killers: Abel Bolanos Ames, IA - Smiley Face Killers

I would seriously hope that if anyone had information that could help find the missing individual in question, they would not be discussing it on a message board and would be taking it to the authorities immediately. not that I have a strong opinion regarding this, but talking about this whole smiley face thing is "about finding jonathan lacinda" just as much as what everyone else is discussing in the other thread. IMO starting this new thread wasn't really necessary.

While I'm not saying this most recent missing person case is tied to the SFK theory, some on here are quick to dismiss the possibility. Two former NYPD detectives, who made a promise to a mother a decade ago, seem to think that the links are important and have dedicated their lives to figuring it out. It sucks to think about, but there are plenty of sick people out there that are willing to harm others for their own pleasure.

I'm normally an optimistic person, but the case at hand doesn't appear to be heading to a positive outcome. As a father to two sons, I never imagined I'd have to consider such possibilities concerning their safety in the future. Sucks! My thoughts and prayers are with the Lacina family and friends.

Good post. I'm not sure why this is being dismissed by some either. I did forget about the 2 NYC policemen who have dedicated themselves to this case. Thanks for the reminder.

I vote to merge this to the existing thread.

Obviously you are right, but there are a number of people who are wanting to keep up with the investigation the best we can. Right now SFK is not part of the investigation until it does, SFK can have it's own thread.

Which is why it should be kept separate at least until he is found or the investigation slows.

If this kid is found in water, will this SFK deal be discounted any longer?

Please know that I don't want him to be found in the water. I want for him and his family for him to be found alive. What a terrible situation to have to go through.

SFK's aren't talked about in the news because if they get any publicity it will lead to more murders. So you don't know that its not part of the investigation, and the waters being one of the first places they looked could say that they are indeed investigating that. Jon isn't suicidal, he isn't confrontational, and he wasn't drunk. He was simply walking home and didn't make it there. I hope to god it wasn't an SFK because i've hung out with him a few times in the past and hope I get to again.

There was also a college professer at St. Cloud that was investigating separately from the two NYPD guys. He had drawn some of the same conclucions and now they are all working together to a certain degree. Whoever said it was TV sensationalism got the chronology wrong. It was the independent investigation then the TV coverage

Isn't that usually what the SFKs look for?

I don't know why people are dismissing it either... I mean come on, there was GRAFFITI ON A PIPE NEXT TO THE LAKE! what else do these people want? It's quite obvious serial killers are killing people and then drawing faces in spray paint... People might say "well, why is this the only drawing, and couldn't that graffiti be from years prior?", but they're just haters.

They'll all see once those retired investigators release their findings in September of 2008... Until then, you can find me keeping watch for UFO's; I'll be the one wearing the tin foil hat (keeps the Russians out).

The Chinese have developed anti-tin foil technology. They're the ones you've got to worry about.

I looked at this website all night. Its really creepy and interesting how some of these cases are connected with clues.
You could really draw a lot of these "conclusions" and "connections" from anything. It spelled out ARM and he had a tattoo on his arm. OH MY GOD!

An obvious mistake was where they said the pattern spelled PIRE for some underaged drinking research center. When it obviously spelled RIPE because they all loved to eat ripe cantaloupe.
