SJ is definitely an Iowa fan, she said so during one of the 50 interviews channel 13 had with her (They seem to have some unhealthy obsession with her). Regardless, I could care less.....I'm getting sick of the whole Beauty and Beast promotion, and it's still two weeks away.

Yup. This is hard to write, but it's the classy thing to do. It was technically an Iowa event, and it's totally appropriate to wear Iowa gear for that.
That is like saying it is appropriate to wear swastikas to a skinhead convention. Alternatively, it is as inappropriate as comparing wearing Hawkeye gear to wearing swastikas - totally over the line.
I can't think of a single time when it would be appropriate to wear Iowa gear. Thank god the cyclones won in football 2 years ago when I made that bet with my sister's boyfriend. He wore cyclone gear to Thanksgiving.
Is Keith Murphy going to be her partner? Now he has more Johnson material to fawn over the next year.
I honestly don't care whether she's an Iowa fan or not - she's a fellow Iowan, she's not participating in connection with the U of I, and as far as I'm concerned that's enough for me to root for her. I just hope she doesn't take a page out of the Misty May-Treanor playbook and rupture her Achilles, jeopardizing the rest of her athletic career...

Am I the only one just a bit disturbed by this? The dances are usually VERY suggestive and bursting with sexual energy. SJ is going to be dancing with some dude in his mid to late 20's most likely. She's what, 16? I think it's going to be really awkward to watch.
