This.

Why in gods name do we stay fans of this pathetic excuse for a franchise? I tried to switch a couple years ago, but it just didn’t feel right. Maybe we’re masochists?
It’s one thing to lose consistently but to also know the owner is a scumbag along with the new stupid name change it’s about that time. I’m 50/50 now. At least I can pick another terrible team now so it’s not a bandwagon choice

How long before people in the stadium are shouting "Go Commies"?
Joe is not amused.

Frankly they missed the opportunity to call themselves the Swamp Dragons and have a politician as their mascot.

Nets already have all the design work done for them. Just extend the claws, remove the basketball and put a football in the right "hand".

I don't know why we don't eliminate names and just go by the city they are in?
Washington football team or Cleveland baseball team

In another 100 years someone will come along and say the Guardians or Commanders are too barbaric.

Am I wrong in thinking this is still just a smokescreen? I mean, this much negativity towards a team name, the 1990s Vikings-esque "Block-W" on the helmet, generic arena football name/mascot, the horrendous attempts to hide the name before the reveal......there has to be something else coming, right???

It’s a play to the fan base that was pissed they changed their name while still getting rid of the redskins name. It’s mostly the same group that are the “support the troops” folks.

This is the ownership's way of changing the name while trying to make people more upset about the solution they found. They're giving a giant middle finger to the NFL here.
