TE Emmanuel Bibbs (Yuma, Ariz./Arizona Western): Bibbs sort of snuck on OU’s radar in the last month, but it’s clear he has become one of the top priorities for OU tight ends coach Bruce Kittle and OU coach Bob Stoops.

Bibbs, a three-star prospect ranked No. 39 in the ESPN JuCo 100, is committed to Iowa State and said there is no doubt in his mind he is signing Wednesday.

The question is where? OU has made up a lot of ground, and Bibbs admits program prestige is playing a role. Kittle and Stoops both made in-home visits with Bibbs and his parents.

OU has missed on a couple of top-notch juco tight ends. The Sooners are trying to make sure they’re not on the outside looking in once again.

Worries me when it says prestige is playing a role...

If Bibbs wants to play, he'd better send that loi to CPR. If he wants to be occasionally thrown to while saying that he got to wear an OU uniform, that's his choice.

Their starting TE got -- what -- three catches this year? I'm not sure that even qualifies as occasionally; rarely might even be a little optimistic.

Sometimes I cry at night thinking about how life has been so tough for the Oklahoma Sooners... and Gene Chizik.

Yeah, but OU's TE is on track to have 12 catches in his career (assuming he's a fr). That's something to hang your hat on.

Anyone else really excited about Meeks? 6'3 240 is a really good size for a freshman linebacker. I have no idea if he'll redshirt or not, or what his strength/speed is, but if he has talent, (and his offer list suggests that people think he does) he has the potential to be an absolute stud.

In defense of OU (I just threw up in my mouth a little), I think they are going after Bibbs because their existing TEs are not producing and the ball is not being thrown to them because of it.

I think he will have a more important role at ISU though.

They've gotta be telling him that he'll be the next Jermaine Gresham if he goes to OU due to their current lack of TEs. I'm considering him gone. On to the next one

Yep he may be end up being one of tr best recruits in this class. Big size. Doesn't allow much for weight to add on but can still slim down and pick up the weight in muscle

And that is with the soft tossing, accurate throwing Landry Jones.
