I believe her specialty is luxury real estate.Isn‘t Mrs. Becht extremely successful in (commercial?) real estate? I thought I’d read that she was the real breadwinner, but can’t confirm.

...said the frog in the boiling pot...(if things don't get regulated in some fashion.)This has been said for 4 years now and the house is still standing. Even if he does end up de committing the house will still be standing as well.
The sky is not falling.
The last 2 big time QB recruits didn't pan out so who knows? My guess is he ends up as a cyclone, but hard to say if he plays here even, just long time from now, and the other guys aren’t going to just hand him the job. Most people would not have thought Rocco would have the starting job locked down a couple years ago. Long way to go.
For completeness sake, you need to respond to my Johnny Orr thread, and quote your signature, from Orr. Classic Johnny! The first part of your statement is likely true. However some guys want a chance to play rather than hold a clipboard for 5 years and hope to see the field as a RS senior. The game is certainly not over. He could decide to go to 'Bama or he could decide to come to ISU and actually compete for playing time soon.
While you're technically right, its not exactly because they weren't any good. Dekkers likely would have been a multi-year starter here; talent was never the question with him, he just made a dumb mistake. All reports had Rocco and Kohl being down to the finish line for the starting job in 2023. Kohl did end up falling to 3 on the depth chart though last year; we'll see how he does at App State. The last 2 big time QB recruits didn't pan out so who knows?
Until I see someone taking snaps in an ISU uniform I can't really get excited in this era. While you're technically right, its not exactly because they weren't any good. Moberly and Manske didn’t pan out?The last 2 big time QB recruits didn't pan out so who knows?
We don't know yet. I wouldn't call Moberly a big time prospect either. I'm talking about Kohl and Dekkers. Both 4* prospects at the positionMoberly and Manske didn’t pan out?
So we'd have the leftovers of the top tier teams? Like how its always been? We'd be able to field a team with players no one else wanted. Like the 90s.
Oh, I gotcha. Being accurate isn’t your forte. Never mind, then.Kohl and Dekkers. Both 4* prospects at the position
Stop ******* crying. Good god.@deadeyededric
I’m dumb? You’re the one that said that last two big time quarterback recruits didn’t pan out.
That’s inaccurate not only because Dekkers and Kohl aren’t “the last two”, but because saying they didn’t pan out
I think the best recruiting pitch we could make is based on all the recent successes from a bunch of Cyclone players who are succeeding in the NFL, and the reputation this staff now has among NFL execs for delivering high character, well taught football players.Speaking of wealthy, the last QB we were in a "recruiting battle" against Bama for just signed a 265 million dollar contract, so the "Bama can pay more" hill some of you are dying on is a moot point, IMO
CMC can remind Jett that he can go to Bama for maybe a few hundred thousand to be a 4th or 5th string, or he can come to ISU, and best case scenario he is signing a hefty contract in 5-7 years
People should be advising prospective college athletes that the priority for their college years should be as a platform to prepare them for the rest of their life, whether that's as a professional athlete or some other career. Will the school do the most to help me develop as an athlete and to get an education? Even ISU offers sufficient NIL support that players aren't living in poverty.Speaking of wealthy, the last QB we were in a "recruiting battle" against Bama for just signed a 265 million dollar contract, so the "Bama can pay more" hill some of you are dying on is a moot point, IMO

Historically our best QBs the last 25-30 years have been the ones who didn't have as much hype. Sage, Wallace, Brett Meyer, Brock, and Rocco. Even back when DMac was here he brought in some good ones. Austin Flynn was a 4 star.Just to be clear on this…
Brock was not a 4 star.
Dekkers was a 4 star by 247, not the Composite.
Elite 11 Finalist.
Rocco was a 4 star by Rivals, not Composite.
He specialized in 7 on 7 camps.
JJ Kohl was a consensus and Composite 4 Star.
Elite 11 Finalist, finished higher than Dekkers.
Moberly was a three star.
Mainly because he was content with ISU, and did not hit the summer camp circuit.
Manske was an On3 and Composite 4 star, but not 247 or Rivals.
Elite 11 Finalist, but did not finish highly.
Thomalla is a 247 and Composite 4 star, but not yet consensus.
Will compete in Elite 11 Finals.
Deckers leadership ability was in question though. While you're technically right, its not exactly because they weren't any good. Dekkers likely would have been a multi-year starter here; talent was never the question with him, he just made a dumb mistake.
