Tell them you have a cold, that’s my plan. They want me to sing “Once in Royal David’s City,” a song best sung by a child with a really high voice.

Actually I'm fairly surprised.....I listened to Pentatonix and Kenny Rogers (with Wynnona Judd) sing it, and was pretty sure it would be in too high a range for me. But I found some music on a website that starts fairly low, so I'm confident I can handle it.

They want me on the 24th. Frankly I am not a fan of solo stuff in liturgical music although this would be before when people are still jostling for seats.

The football team used to stay at a hotel in Boone Friday night before games to keep them away from the bad influence of the rest of the student body. (maybe they still do) They never thought about keeping them away from the bad influence that was the rest of the team.

Gateway Hotel these days the night before a game and potentially during fall camp as well.

Sister has what's called a hip impingement and needs arthroscopic surgery. Has to have 4 weeks of pre-surgery therapy. Then will have to wear a hip immobilizer for 6 weeks. Then a 4-5 month rehab/low impact activity period.

Almost fell asleep watching Bitchin Rides tonight. Guess I am old man tired after slugging out three miles on the track late this afternoon.

Track running is kinda boring. Just run and count laps, "One, ah, ha, ha; Two, ah, ha, ha; Three, ah, ha, ha; Four, ah, ha, ha....."

My mind wandered a bit on the treadmill this morning and I caught myself singing out loud to the Van Halen music playing in my head phones. Luckily, there was only one other person in our 2-room fitness facility and fans were running and he had head phones on. I'm not sure he would want to hear me say "I can't wait to feel your love tonight.".

Nearly got in the wrong car after working out. I have a silver Accord and a silver Sonata and a silver Altima parked next to me as well. I was not fully paying attention and went to open what I thought was mine but I noticed that it didn't unlock when I pulled on the door handle and the door opened right up. I knew I had locked mine so it would have unlocked when I put my hand on the handle. I then looked in and saw a bunch of stuff and realized that it was clearly not my car. Oopps hope that dome light turns off before they come out. I see another silver car. Dumb Wx that must be mine. Walk over nope that is filled with junk too. Daffuq is going on here. Look up to see my car is the next one over...damn.

My godson's birthday is coming up and I'm going to get him some KState gear since he's heading there next year after he graduates. Is it bad taste to throw a yellow rag in there and then pick it up and tuck it in my back pocket after he opens the gift?

One time I got back from a flight. Went to the parking garage and went to what I thought was my truck. Key didn't work. Then I noticed some weird glittery stuff on the side of the truck and it dawned on me that it wasn't mine. My truck was in the same spot one level higher.

Your problem is the same as mine. Working out that early is bad for your brain.
