Not one problem with TX fans all game.

6 PM start = more drunk fans

What are you going to do?

I would like to thank the two drunk *** ISU fans in their mid 40's who showed up 10 minutes in to the game stumbling up the stairs. One of whom "slept" from the moment he sat until 5 minutes in to the 4th quarter while swaying onto the people in front of him and to his side. And congrats to his more sober looking friend who decided to puke half way through the 2nd quarter and give everyone in our section attitude when we asked him to clean it up.

Well done ********.

If they are stupid enough to come to the game in that condition, then get security to haul their butts out of there so they can puke on someone else. The people in your section are a lot more understanding than I would have been.

haha! No, he shook it up somehow and I guess the carbonation made it fly. I really don't know how he did it, but it almost hit about 3 photographers. It looked someone shot a canister of tear gas on the field.

I work for ISU Dining and was up in the pressbox at that time and you could clearly see this incident. It was right after they blew the call saying we didn't get in the end zone for our first td. Replay overruled that call at least.

Correct. And then they also get to spend the night in the SCDC.

With what Texas did the the Southwest Conference, that fact that they were the key reason that two Big8 members left, and that one of their biggest rivals wants to leave the conference now to get away from them, I honestly do not care what happens to Texas fans within the boundaries of the law.

I am through with UT arrogance and I honestly hope they lose at everything. I see about 4 lossed come for them this year though, so I should have plenty to be happy about.

That's the thing, we did. Security came up and asked the guy if he was ok, when the dude said yeah, security left and sent some poor work study kid to clean up his puke. Fail.

Had a great time at the game and some really good conversations with some Texas fans that came up and were very knowledgable and respectful to be here. Told them how many times I was impressed with their hospitality last year and wanted to show the same back here.

However, Texas has a ton of fair weather arrogant t-shirt fans. They were out and about last night in a few cases. Other than a few of these encounters, had a very good time with their visiting fanbase.

The ISU fan should have been tossed immediately... sounds like maybe the texas fan too. There will ALWAYS be idiots from both teams that need to be dealt with... it is a late game... more drunks than earlier game starts - is a given.

Beat the bear (cubs)... haha!

My experiences have UT & Texas A&M as some of the best B12 fans. Baylor and TT - well, that's another thread.....

Watched the Game at Jakes in downtown Ft Worth. Everyone there couldnt figure out who ISU was and eventually settled for calling us Iowa.

Everyone seemed tamed and in good spirit. Of course TCU and A&M both lost so everyone was pretty smoked....

The kid in that got escorted out of the student section was my friend. He didn't have a wrist band on in the 2nd row so some chick told the security guard and made him leave the lower section. It was garbage.

For years, we had a fullback carry the US flag on the field as he was a staff sergeant in the Marines, having served multiple tours in the Iraq and Afghanistan.

The current US flag carrier is a walk on DB, who is a former Green Beret.

For your information, the players on our team that carry the American flag have always been involved in the US armed forces like Ahmad Hall, who like the previous poster stated, was a Marine Sergeant with multiple tours of duty.

If you have a problem with Texas players honoring our men and women in the military, feel free to let me know why.

Well . . I have an issue with it. I am an OIF combat veteran and ISU fan. Should I get a flag and parade it in to the stadium like I'm something special too? Our national flag is not a school flag or is not intended to be used as a badge of special honor for a football player or one individual.

I was offended (as I am sure many other veterans were who attended the game). If one of your players wants to carry a flag . . let him do it at a VFW or Legion event . . not onto a football field bragging about his status as a veteran. Unless of course, Texas wants to hand out flags to all veterans in the stands, and their families, and our fellow countrymen who support the military.

Our flag is not meant to honor an individual veteran until he (or she) is buried during a proper military ceremony. THAT is OUR tradition . . . not some individual emotional ploy or stunt. And yes . . it was very offensive and did CONVEY the sense that "we are America's team" . . . intended or not.

I think carrying the flag in is pretty sweet. Thanks for the story behind it.

I have a problem with the University of Texas and the Texas football team waving our nation's symbol of strength and unity around like a spirit flag or team banner then going to the sideline and tossing it on the ground.

They weren't honoring military, they were mocking their university's national presence at a road game and simply discarded our nation's flag ON THE GROUND when they were done with their bravado.

If they want to truly honor our nation's service men and women, they would be as respectful of the flag after they circus-like parade it around in front of a football team.

Some may note that the Tejas flag they carried never touched the ground. How's that for arrogance?
