I don’t have a dog in the fight as I live too far to regularly attend games in person but for the handful of those characterizing people who would like to beer sales in JTS to alcoholism..let’s clutch those pearls even harder.
These fatties probably eat popcorn at a movie too! Not enough self-control to bring an apple.

What’s funny is you guys think Jamie, an accountant, hasn’t run the numbers. Even with a small profit, say $125k (that was mentioned earlier as UNIs profit) the lost advertising and/or ticket revenue might exceed that.

Not to mentioned don’t volunteer organizations now work the food stands? You can’t have those people serving alcohol now you have to hire people to work the beer stands.
This is not true btw

When I leave the haunted forest to go to the north entrance. I usually have four beers with me. I try to have two gone by the time I get to the last empty trash can. The other two get snuck into the game with me.

Whats not true? that volunteer organizations work the concession stands? or you can't have those volunteer organizations serving beer?

I don't buy concessions usually, but I'm fairly certain volunteer orgs used to work the concessions as a way to fund raise.

Did Pollard not have to send out a letter after the UCF game because people were getting loaded up and fighting in the tailgate lots? If that isn’t the definition of a slob I don’t know what is. I don’t really care if they sell booze in the stadium or not. I’d probably prefer if they didn’t, but the people taking offense to this is strange to me. Besides, people will inevitably complain even if they do end up selling beer

For real. I’m not an alcoholic. I’m just a 3 times a week blackout chasing binge drinker.

Put the We Will Girls at each aisle and at the entrance

This is on top of having them roam the tailgate lots selling Ames Lager

Let's ******* go
Man, that is a great idea. Blum could hire some college girls to sell beer. Give them scanners and let them make tips.

Personally, I don’t need a beer that bad during the game. If it’s nice out and available, I’d probably buy 1-2 a game. My biggest problem is that they are continually asking the fans for more and more, yet leave this money on the table. To me, that is just being stubborn.

As for the slob comment, while Jamie is probably right, he could have worded it better.

He was talking about the issues during and after football games this year, with more arrests/fights and belligerent fans. Believe arrests were up this year. Some of that may just be more sellouts this year who knows.

More night games too, which means more people liquored up for longer before they get into the stadium. So again, not a problem of beer sales inside the stadium

Yeah that's the thing for me. I've been lucky enough to be in a section that serves beer, though I rarely actually get one. I'm not a huge beer drinker these days, but I could if I wanted to.

But it's just intolerable that ISU, when at every turn it is telling fans they need to accept one annoyance or another because they need every dollar possible, would pass up any source of revenue. It may or may not be millions, but even a few hundred thousand helps pay the bills.

No tailgate all you want. Tailgating doesn't affect me because I show up an hour before the game and go into the game to watch pregame warmups.

For the most part there aren't any drunkards in my section and I would like to keep it that way. Hell some of the non-drunks are annoying now, I can only imagine how annoying they'd be if they can sit there and drink during the game.
Vevuzela guy must sit near Curt.

I would rather Pollard just say: "I have to keep alcohol sales to premium seating areas for fundraising purposes. Our cost analysis shows we will ultimately make more money with this strategy." And if that is a total lie, oh well. The publicity here is just bad.

Genius ^^^

Why does JP always have to be a jackoff like this?

He is blunt and not a politician. A lot of us don't experience this type often. I don't like the way he wants to say things, but he's crystal clear at all times and I'm pretty sure its a good management trait when everybody who works for you knows where they stand.

I guess we'll worry about getting beer at games with the next AD.

Bluntness doesn’t really describe it when it’s ********. Bluntness should be tied to truth.
