Just to clarify. You think a defensive nose guard can hold on a running play???
Also, just from reading body language in the stands, it looked like that ref had warned that guy multiple times and looked reluctant to throw the flag. I can't speak to all the other penalties, but the defensive hold there stuck out

Anyway...I'm glad for the win. I thought ISU might come out a little sluggish after the bye week, and it seems they did, but recovered well enough to win.

Also, I hope that Campbell lights a torch under the kicking game folks...who have given up touchdowns by blocks in two consecutive games. ISU can't be doing that down the stretch.

Our blocking for kicks hasn’t looked any good all season. Feels like it’s definitely caught up to us the last two games. And now teams know they just have to pressure a bit.

Wherever I go, there I am.
FWIW, I went to that abomination Wreck Em (decent traffic in the game thread, but someone could teach them basic web design) and they’re all nothing but complimentary if ISU and blaming the oline and Kingsbury for not putting their more mobile qb in.

Haven’t seen one Tech fan there complaining about refs.
It seems TTUASSHAT wasn't being truthful about leaving, given the dislike. I'm so dismayed.

I honestly can't think of a single call that was called against Iowa State in the last 12 quarters of college of football against Texas Tech that was incorrect. If you can name a single one, I'll leave forever. I'm really easy that way.

I usually respectful, etc....but the **** out.

Strange how when we started to actually pressure Tech’s offense and freshman quarterback, they started ******* up.

Took a while...I think Tech had a good plan on where to target the ball to start.

Feel bad for this defense....the scores don't reflect their own stats due to other weaknesses.

There was at least one missed call in TTUs favor. During the targeting call, the TTu DB reached down to grab the WR leg and tried to tear it out of place. Clearly after the play was dead - should have been unnecessary roughness. Also, I didn’t think there was an ineligible receiver on that same play. On the safety, I don’t know for sure if the QB was still within the tackle box, as he took a slightly diagonal path backwards. TTU is a dirty team and the refs were probably getting tired of all the cheap shots. Ive lost respect for our last 2 opponents.

Here's the last thing I'll say and I'm gone for the day.

If a single Iowa State fan would have simple said yeah "we got a lot more calls than Tech, I can understand their frustration" or "that holding call on Tech's DT was ridiculous" or "that last TD should have been PI on Butler". I would have let everything go and respected Iowa State as a good fan base.

As it stands. Not a single fan expressed sympathy for Texas Tech players, coaches or fans. Now, I hope the Big 12 straight rapes you when you go to Austin. If you would have an ounce of sympathy when the Big 12 screwed another team to Iowa State benefit, I would have sympathy for Iowa State but as it stands, your fan base is terrible and I now have zero sympathy for you. May the Big 12 screw you every single opportunity they get because Iowa State fans have ZERO sympathy when their team is on the winning side of calls.

I have sat in your seat many times as an ISU fan... I mean... I didn't go any cry on the opposing team's fan site... but to each his own.

The call was that the ball didn’t make it back to the line of scrimmage

Ball never went past the line of scrimmage so it didn't matter if he was out of tackle box.
