Agree about Big Rob. Reminder that Solo Young was good down there. Not quick, but strong and had moves.

Did anyone see the ref yell at the fan behind the scorers table? It was in the first half during the review of the double tech on gabe/big st johns guy (which was BS that Gabe got T'd).

Those refs had no control and were scared to try to get any control. If they gave a T to one guy they were scared and had to give one to an opposing guy. Never seen anything like that.

Yeah wtf was that about? I thought security was going to remove that guy and his wife/gf too. Both looked to be retirement age (from across the building anyway).

It's a shame Young ended up playing for some of the worst and most irrelevant Cyclone teams in school history. He was a real solid player by the time he graduated

An underrated thing about TJ is his minutes management. We’ve got a really nice minutes distribution where we have decent group of players in that 20-29 mpg (Grill is the outlier over 30. Osun is the outlier under 20, he and RJ combine to form one 30+ mpg guy together at that spot more or less).

Imo it’s a good distribution to keep our defense going. I’m sure it will tighten up in conference even with King coming eligible.

Need Osun to be able to play in late game with his FT ability to max out, but I‘d put RJ ahead of him for late game in conference right now. Crazy how Robert Jones has become a pretty integral part of the team over his time here.

I love how TJ uses Rob. The ultimate compliment from a coach is to put you in the game because he wants to inflict pain on the other team. Rob is TJ going scorched earth of these 5 star bigs lol.

I love how he hulks up after he gets beat on defense or beat for a board. You just know he’s going to bounce back with some good play after a mistake.

Ya he's got that fire. Is take 5 guys with Rob's mental toughness. In my opinion him and Caleb are what make this team go.

Unimpressed With the fan or the ref?

Seems weird to threaten to kick fans out unless they are really going after players and saying inappropriate things. Sounds like these refs had fragile egos
