I feel like you have to try and find a portal PG because you can pretty much assume he's going to get hurt. He's clearly hurting, I just hope he can have a healthy senior year.

It certainly didn’t help, but Tamin being hurt and MM, JJ having terrible offensive nights was game over.Hopefully this piece of **** has nothing to do with Gilbert.
Teams don't shoot 60 percent because your defense is good. We run it up vs Alcon state in November and it disappears, book is out on us. Has been for a year or so.Might give up 90, us being regarded as a good defensive team clearly shows how metrics can be manipulated. We aren't even making them work, it's like a scrimmage.
Everyone is unhappy with this ending to the basketball season, but bringing in football doesn't sound right here at all.Football. Basketball. Promising, all-time season. Ending with the woodshed.
All the time. And I don't wanna hear about them being wide open.Obviously, the defense has been bad and we’ve given up some wide open looks, but why does it always seem to happen that the team that doesn’t shoot well shoots out of their mind against us? Ole miss 10-17 from three and I think they’re like 30% for the season?
Why are we never that team that shoots out of our mind to pull the upset?
He has a special skillset that just needs further refinement.I very much want Jefferson back, but he’s going to get offered a million probably by more than one program. Hope we can match.
We were also better before you started yapping.I don't want the Presidents back, let someone else pay NIL $ for Jefferson. We were better with BRE and Ward. MUCH better. Let's get back to defense-first guys in the frontcourt, mmkay?
Waited until 4 minutes were left in the game to talk about the impact of Keshon Gilbert being hurt had on the team. You can tell the announcing crew didn’t watch any ISU basketball because they’re surprised by this effort
I’m sure we will lose Jefferson unfortunatelyI don't want the Presidents back, let someone else pay NIL $ for Jefferson. We were better with BRE and Ward. MUCH better. Let's get back to defense-first guys in the frontcourt, mmkay?
I've seen a dead horse getting beaten in this thread. Does that help?Ever see the movies where a man is riding a horse/mule hard across the desert and doesn't give the horse/mule any rest and they just keel over and die?
Well it’s true and you know it get a lifeGive it a rest. We get it. You’re pissed and throwing a tantrum. Lots of game left.
Has there been a bigger disappointment from ISU basketball in the last 25 years? Hampton or UAB is all I can think of that would be close. If you say this is the most disappointing season in ISU history then I know your either 5 years old or ********.
Yeah I don’t think people appreciate just how good Gilbert was. He’s been hurt since the first conference game. Prior to that he was 100% ISUs best player. He was on a 1St team AA pace. That injury sunk this team. Tamils simply made a sweet 16 team a round of 32 team. The thing with a healthy Gilbert is his ability to get to the rim and take the opposing best player defensively. We miss that tremendously
If he’s offered a million, he’d be stupid not to take that.I very much want Jefferson back, but he’s going to get offered a million probably by more than one program. Hope we can match.

Fair enough. Just grumpy right now.Everyone is unhappy with this ending to the basketball season, but bringing in football doesn't sound right here at all.
Iowa State football won 11 games and won their bowl game vs Miami. All around great football season, start to finish.
Perfectly said. This one is going to string a ton and I’ll be much more cautious and will temper my expectations if we are a top 5 team before February since that’s exactly what happened this year. Started off so amazingly and ended just flat out bad in the second half of the season. This team had every element to be a Final 4 team. Experience and talent throughout the backcourt, did very well in the portal to complement them with a strong frontcourt, a successful core that played together for a few years. I know that they never really got a chance to play together due to lack of health but the chemistry was just off this season. Hard to pinpoint what went wrong but I did not envision the season ending like this even with Gilbert out and Lipsey hobbled, there just wasn't much fight in this dog.
