Might give up 90, us being regarded as a good defensive team clearly shows how metrics can be manipulated. We aren't even making them work, it's like a scrimmage.
Teams don't shoot 60 percent because your defense is good. We run it up vs Alcon state in November and it disappears, book is out on us. Has been for a year or so.

Obviously, the defense has been bad and we’ve given up some wide open looks, but why does it always seem to happen that the team that doesn’t shoot well shoots out of their mind against us? Ole miss 10-17 from three and I think they’re like 30% for the season?

Why are we never that team that shoots out of our mind to pull the upset?
All the time. And I don't wanna hear about them being wide open.

We're wide open and still miss. There's a luck component we are just inevitably on the wrong side of eventually

You can tell the announcing crew didn’t watch any ISU basketball because they’re surprised by this effort
Waited until 4 minutes were left in the game to talk about the impact of Keshon Gilbert being hurt had on the team.

The thing with a healthy Gilbert is his ability to get to the rim and take the opposing best player defensively. We miss that tremendously
Yeah I don’t think people appreciate just how good Gilbert was. He’s been hurt since the first conference game. Prior to that he was 100% ISUs best player. He was on a 1St team AA pace. That injury sunk this team. Tamils simply made a sweet 16 team a round of 32 team.

This team had every element to be a Final 4 team. Experience and talent throughout the backcourt, did very well in the portal to complement them with a strong frontcourt, a successful core that played together for a few years. I know that they never really got a chance to play together due to lack of health but the chemistry was just off this season. Hard to pinpoint what went wrong but I did not envision the season ending like this even with Gilbert out and Lipsey hobbled, there just wasn't much fight in this dog.
Perfectly said. This one is going to string a ton and I’ll be much more cautious and will temper my expectations if we are a top 5 team before February since that’s exactly what happened this year. Started off so amazingly and ended just flat out bad in the second half of the season.
