Ole Miss is a good team, and it’s the NCAA Tournament.

It’s one thing to lose a hard fought game in the second round.

But getting run out of the gym like that was a hard pill to swallow.
I definitely didn't expect that type of beatdown, although it was possible considering we had a few of the "got away from us" games during the season, about two-thirds coming against non-tournament level opponents.

If ISU had lost on a buzzer-beater, that would've been crushing, and we'd all be having a completely different type of season-ending discussion today.

At least the blowout likelihood was becoming evident early in the second half, and I went through a lot of the grief stages before the game was over. I even laughed a few times out of exasperation.

I tuned out the TV n radio, early in 2nd half. Tuned into Rulzzz game thread.
Depressing, fer sure, but far more entertaining!
Even John and Eric, kinda knew the outcome, long before it was over.

ISU does not play well at times against physical defenses. They lose their aggressiveness and start taking poor shots from the outside. Attacking the paint and passing the ball, even when things do not go well, will get the points they need to win. On the other side, playing that relentless Cyclone D, which has not been there all the time this year, and rebounding will win the game. Great insight by me by stating what tj says every game. Attack the paint, keep up the defensive energy, block out. When we play our game we are really hard to beat. Now if Miss goes 18 of 36 from three like BYU did, then we may be in trouble.
11 of 18 for three is even tougher to beat.

No kidding!

I watched so many good teams shoot anywhere from 9% to 25% from the 3.

Suddenly ISU plays and their opponent shoots 61%. WTAF??

Is our 3 point defense THAT bad? It's not the only time it's happened, its a trend.
Definitely feels like a trend.

What really grinds my gears is having these below 30% career shooter all of the sudden lighting it up against us.
