To their credit, Mississippi is hitting shots out fheir ass. Closely guarded, boom.
Throw away the play book. Time to start chucking threes. Ole Miss is only taking shots with 5 sec left in the shot clock, so they are eating tons of time. 2-pointers are not going to get it done. Start trapping defense to speed them up.
Might have the #1 coach in the country though.. Beard can coach against anyone.

This isn’t CW’s fault. But I hope we are able to have a frank conversation about why these dud games continue to happen, especially offensively where our game plan WAY TOO OFTEN turns into heroball (we lose almost every time it does).
This one stings and in TJ I trust but he needs to take a Matt Campbell post-Ohio game approach to our offense and why we are so damn inconsistent.
KU was really bad. No excuse to get blown out even in Phog by that KU team.

This is the largest margin of separation in the round of 32
I was hopeful too until seeing Curtis' interview with CBS' sideline reporter. He looked shell shocked and his tone didn't sound like someone who felt they could win.
Sure injuries were an issue the last couple months. But this team lost the mojo and defensive focus they had the first 2 months of the season.
If we were healthy, it would be competitive. But just look where their guys come from. Other p5's including one from Duke. Iowa State isn't getting these type of players.
ISU is not a three seed without Gilbert and a healthy Lipsey. This loss is about your two best players being hurt and not having anyone even close in talent to replace them.
Agreed it’s pretty bad - a 3 seed shouldn’t get destroyed in the round of 32. But, here we are. I also appreciate you have many questions, as do I, but they will not be answered.
It’s another season that falls into the ‘what could have been’ bucket.
It’s the same crap every year. This year will be a step up. Good d and offense to match. Oh and don’t forget the games where nobody looks like they’ve ever played before. Then cap it all off with a truly disappointing loss.
