That's just odd luck. Last year, Illinois hadn't been to the Sweet 16 for a really, really long time. And it was our 5th one in 15 years or something like that. One of these times, we'll luck into an Elite 8. But it won't be this year.

How many points have they left out there by missed FT and wide open 3 point misses? It seems like they are in position to be in the game, but the players are not finishing. That’s not on coaching.

I had a bad feeling Milan "went off" too much vs. Lipscomb. A 50-50 split might have helped.

Just so many things that went wrong in this game but none of them new is just disappointing.

“Won’t happen again” is happening yet again.

I can stomach losing to teams that have more talent than us. But Ole Miss is a slightly worse version of Iowa State that showed up ready to play, made adjustments, made shots, and is playing good defense.

It’s hard to stomach getting run out of the gym by a middle of the conference SEC team especially when we are making the same mistakes we’ve continued to make for the last 2 months. Very frustrating.

I get it, I don't mind losing it happens, but getting embarrassed? It happened against Pitt too. I trust these coaches to prepare us for these games to at least be competitve, and they are provign they are not up to it. We had crap offense against Illinios in the first 10 minutes, crap offense in the first half tonight, crap offense against Pitt. That is 3 NCAA tournament games where the offense was an issue.
