Let's see, OSU has receivers nigh on a par with Baylor's, but not the offensive or defensive line of the Bears--though their ends are very athletic. And, they're probably playing even more young players than we are. Hmm....

I've watched every OSU game and every Baylor game. There d-line isn't as good as the Cowboys'.

The one thing I liked is the interview with Wally. He had a wry smile when he stated that people don't think he blitzes. We are solid on the corners, and deep balls take a bit more time than the quick shots BU took. He can pin his ears back and bring the pressure with the LBs. At least until the pokes start taking advantage of the vacant middle. I think our D will be way more aggressive tomorrow. If it works, the Cyclones win a close one. If it doesn't, we don't cover the spread.

Can we remember this thread tomorrow if we lose? I'm sick of post game meltdowns about losing to top 25 teams. We aee the clear underdog. If we lose, that doesnt mean we need to go scorched earth on the athletic department.

This just means the meltdown should have started a couple years ago. CPR and Co do not get a break for being so bad that we are near 20 point underdogs to an average Ok St team.

Daxx Garman leads the Big 12 in raw QBR on third down plays (93.8) and against the blitz (99.3).

Uh...3-1...Ranked #21 in the nation...Only loss to the defending national champions, by 6 points?

Or did you mean that OSU is normally so awesome, that #21 is just average for us?

So the fact that 4 of the first 5 opponents are ranked is irrelevant?

3-1, with a loss to the only good team. Hard to know if Ok St is really a top-25 team, they could be, but I doubt they are good enough that they will be similar favorites against good or even average teams. There is not a lot of separation between a fringe top-25 team and a top-40 team. You are not big favorites because you are that good, it is more that we are bad. And yes, Ok St is usually a good team, this is not one of the better 'Poke teams.

4 out the first 5 opponents are ranked?
Besides, it is not a loss that is the cause of the frustration, but the bad football that we consistently play.

If that's the case, then OSU has the best defensive line ISU will have faced to date. However, something tells me you carry a lot of bias when making these determinations.

Didn't open this until this morning. Looks like STP is a pretty strong troll of the week candidate. Not in the same league as Lakes or Tuco (as far a sheer DB'ness) and he will be gone after today for a while so that good.
