Biggest game of the year so far. Win helps a lot more than a loss hurts.

When's the last time we won at Baylor anyway? We're due.. I personally hate watching games played at baylor. They have the 2nd ugliest court behind Oregon. The sight of it annoys me.

When's the last time we won at Baylor anyway?

1999-2000, last game of the regular season to clinch the Big 12 title.

Even the 2003-04 team, which you'll remember advanced to the NIT semis, couldn't beat Baylor in Drew's first season. And the 2005-06 team lost in Waco when Baylor wasn't allowed to play any non-conference games.

Winning tonight would be huge, as far as ISU's recent history is concerned.

I feel another kick in the nuts coming. Let's hope it is for Baylor this time.

Cyclone fans need to make more babies. We can't afford another kick in the nuts like that, or we may all be shooting blanks.

I really think a win here would be huge as long as we then take care of business at home. I think the Big 12 definitely gets five easily, and maybe six, and it would be great to have a sweep against whoever is close to us at the end.

This is the biggest reason why this is a huge game. If we knock off Baylor at their place, it puts them on the outside of the bubble.

Here's their remaining schedule:
@OU
@WVU
KSU
@Texas
KU

If we win tonight, they probably need to win 4 of those to make the tournament. And if they don't, we look better as it is doubtful that the Big 12 would ever only get 4 teams in.

on the other hand, OU is done with KU, KSU and OSU, and has a fairly easy remaining schedule left:

@TTU
BU
@Texas
ISU
WVU
@TCU

So they are likely to end up in 4th place.

ISU exposed Baylor's weakness on defense and that is their ability to defend smaller perimeter based teams. Good ball movement opened up holes in Baylor's D and Clyburn attacking the basket and either converting or getting to the free throw line was very productive. I highly doubt ISU could shoot it much worse then they did from deep against Baylor in Ames (16.7%/4-24). Hit some 3's and attack the basket when Baylor extends their defense on the perimeter and it should be ISU heading back to Ames with a W.

How close is Waco to RGV maybe we can sneak Royce into the game.

Pretty solid game plan. Even though spreading the floor worked pretty well against Austin before (and against Withey at KU), I'd like to see more quick jabs at the basket off of breaks. From what I've seen of Baylor, they're not the quickest at getting back and setting up on defense. K-State seemed to have the perfect strategy for this; they were quick to bring the ball across the half court line and mixed it up between driving cuts and perimeter shots.

Babb and McGee are the hot hands right now, so things are looking good!
