Is the halftime taking longer than normal? It seems like it’s been halftime for 30 minutes already.
I think halftimes can be extended for homecoming given all the additional stuff that gets done for those

So my biggest issue with that targeting call is that the only option Tampa really had then was to launch himself high to avoid that contact/call, which is the exact behavior you're trying to discourage with the rule.

You can say "slow up/don't hit him" but in that play he was moving to defend the pass, not to deliver a hit to the player, and the hit was because of the hospital ball Shapen threw. Like I get the rule is targeting and ejecting but plays like that are just frustrating to watch, because it wasn't malicious.
I think the problem and what football in general is trying to stop, is DBs are taught to hit the WR hard to tackle AND dislodge the ball to cause an incompletion

What the NFL/NCAA/game of football is trying to do is shift that behavior to is, if the WR already had the ball in his hands, just make the tackle, don’t try to cause an incompletion.

for the 100th time, I don't see why the NCAA dosn't adopt the Target Level 1, target Level 2 rule.

This would have clearly been Target level 2.

leave Target level 2 to 15 yard penalty and move on.

Level 1 would be leading with the crown like a missile and and making a very obvious and dangerous play. that would be the ejection rule.

That was a dangerous hit, as illustrated by the after effects, and needs to be eliminated. Needlessly launching and lowering with the the shoulder on a defenseless receiver is just as bad as leading with the crown.

Ejection was deserved/warranted.

Yeah but the tackle comes at the head because of the ball placement. If that pass isn't low, Tampa hits him in the chest/abdomen.

You guys don't understand. There's no other way to tackle than a shoulder pad to the helmet. It's impossible.
