Yeah, stat watching. It's like ball-watching. Requires the same amount of football smarts - which is low.

Great point. I'm watching the game at the same time and he looks phenomenal. You really are right that it is ridiculous to refer to stats. Especially when someone is commanding the offense, like Richardson has today.

It's been quite a while since ISU has seemed this irrelevant in football. Just nowhere near even average in this conference right now. Take note Mr. AD, we are NOT competitive. Head Coach has seven games to prove he knows what he's doing.

Every team in the country has CB's who play on the receiver. ISU has CB's who play 10+ yards off the receiver. If I am an offensive coordinator I throw short routes or screens all day long on ISU. And on the rare occasion ISU plays up on the receiver, I throw it deep because the VB's usually get blown by.

Put in Richardson with OSU's offense and put in Garmon on our offense. I'll bet you every penny I earn for the rest of my life that Richardson plays better.

Funny I remember Garmon throwing deep balls right on the money. I don't think Sam knows how to do that.

Here nor there
Richardson continues to be solid: 11-31 139

No one should question his performance.
We have seen what happens when he plays well- we score 20 points.

I wish we were one position away from being average. You need a 1st round talent back there to overcome the synergy failure we have seen for 5.5 seasons under CPR.

Every one of those deep shots the defender has been right on the receivers ***. Our receivers are not fast enough to get open.

No idea why any one is surprised. Until you are able to score 35 points you aren't beating any of these teams. At the end of the day the line and Qb play aren't good enough. It's that simple. This line and Qb are fine for the big ten or the mountain west, but we just have to have better o line play and better Qb play. Until that happens this is what we are going to have. There was zero chance of going down there and winning.

What is frustrating is that it isn't a matter of whether or not we CAN compete, it's that we simply don't. The opportunities are there offensively, but we choose to **** the bed.

It's either an errant throw to an open receiver, or an accurate throw that is dropped. Late in the game our D forgets how to tackle.

We can't run the ******* ball for our lives and when down 24 late we do what the other teams wants us to do: Keep the clock going by using our absolutely ineffective running game. That tells me Mangino doesn't even think Sam can get it done.

Hard to hit those all the time when you always gotta hit a perfect window because the defense is right on top of the receiver. On the other side of the ball, their receivers get separation.

It is a fact that Sam needs to improve on the deep route. It's also a clear fact our receivers can not separate from defenders on any sort of remote consistent basis.

It is very tough on ANY QB when he has to be perfect on every single throw because he can't expect any help from the receiver..
