First play that comes to my mind is Naz faking a three and driving to the rack.

That was a great move considering they were trying to deny us any three points the whole game. Colorado isn't terrible, it'll be interesting to see how we look back on this game at the end of the season.

While watching this game I couldn't help thinking about Eustachy talking after the first game of the season and saying they hadn't practiced offense at all yet - only defense. Prohm probably recognized that this is an offensively gifted team that needed to spend time getting better on defense. I'm sure we will see the offense improve with more ball movement and passing as the noncon progresses. Loved to see this team struggle on offense but still able to win the game on the defensive end of the floor.

I am sorry - Kum by ya my lord, Kum by ya. Holding hands and singing has made me see the light for this game. I take back anything critical I have said.

You're a moron.....every post you make further proves this and that you know nothing of college basketball and how a season works. It's a process. You think because we're a top 10 team we should play like gods right out of the gate!? Look around college basketball, all games were sloppy and most power schools played lessor competition. It's like this year after year, ups and downs until you click in March. There were many positives and sure there were negatives too as you so gladly point out.....but the coaches know this as do the players. So in the meantime let the big boys do their job, keep your ignorant glass half empty observations to yourself and enjoy the ride. Man I hope you're not this dumb when we lose too, after all every team has done it every year except one in the history of college basketball, top ten or not. It's going to be a good year, great win against a solid Colorado team. 1-0

Was so busy yesterday just catching up on comments and opinions...but it seems like many don't realize Colorado is in the tournament most years under their current coach. There's a good chance this is in our good wins column at the end of the year, I'm guessing after Cincy there's a good chance this could be our #2 ranked non conference date in terms of possible quality win assuming UNI drops off a bit without Tuttle.

Colorado was picked to finish THIRD in the Pac 12. THIRD! That was a great win on a neutural court! Nothing worse than turds like you that try to knock a great win. Let's **** and moan all night instead of celebrating a great win. Made my peace done with you two.

I don't know how you celebrate, but a night of******* and moaning sounds like celebration to me.

Cincy and A&M will be significantly tougher than every other non-con game we have I think, but this one could end up as our 3rd toughest.

3rd-toughtest probably, 4th-best as far as SOS/RPI (I'd put Iowa about CU, slightly -- bubble vs. NIT-probable -- although that's at Hilton).

CU, Cincinnati and A&M also provide good tests because none are "outscore the opponent" types of teams, largely antithesis of ISU's style. if ISU could win two of those three (considering none are at home), that's solid.

Good observation. And I think ISU won only two games the past 3 seasons when scoring less than 70 — so winning that type of game is encouraging, since we know the offense is there, and when O has off-nights, have to be able to win ugly.

Way up there
I don't get why anyone would think CU isn't a pretty good team. They were long, athletic and played great defense. The one knock on Fred could have been that his teams struggled to win ugly. The CU game was an ugly win.

Fred is too dreamy to do anything ugly.
