Www

Typical putz - what a canned reply. If I am not cheering at the top of my lungs I must not be a cyclone fan. You holier than now fans are amazing. I gave a critical evaluation of a game - nothing more or nothing less.

^Agree with this.

Loved the drives; those will really be open with the rules this year and that was not a coincendence; we cannot rely on the three outside hilton and will need lots of points in the paint come march. That was an awesome win i have no idea what is wrong with people. I told new fans to isu last year; enjoy the ride because it will end before you know it. This is the best time of the year because there is no pressure.

I said before I was encouraged by the fact that we were in control of the game inspite of making only 3 threes. But we are ranked 7th and played sloppy. Against a team that may or may not be good but played crappier than we did.
Did you watch Kentucky play last season?
Being the #1 ranked team all season and they probably should have lost about 10 games if the ball doesn't bounce their way just 1 more time, and some of those teams were bad.

1. This is probably more of a #15ish team, ranked high because they're experienced and having experience is almost an automatic Top 25 ranking in today's college basketball.

2. It's November 13.

You don't suppose their best player struggled because we geared our defense to stop him? Their shooters played great, their star had a rough night. Not a coincidence.
We did a fairly good job against their bigs. They got hot from the outside from wide open looks which kept them in the game.

There were some encouraging things to take away from the game. Also some things to be concerned about as well.

We had more rebounds and more points in the paint against a supposed good frontline, which is great to see. Defense was better and tougher than a year ago and made the stops when it had to happen late. This is a good solid win against a quality power 5 team. I would like more games like this instead of the Chicago States of the world.

Colorado was picked to finish THIRD in the Pac 12. THIRD! That was a great win on a neutural court! Nothing worse than turds like you that try to knock a great win. Let's **** and moan all night instead of celebrating a great win. Made my peace done with you two.

May I suggest you rewatch the ISU/Iowa game from last year?

...and he was inconsistent after that. If Nader is shooting like he did vs. Iowa come March, I feel differently but one good meaningless non-conference game unfortunately didn't set the tone for the season.

He looked in control tonight though. That's a plus.

This will be listed as a good win come March against a top 50 RPI team that will be going to the NCAA tourney and it was on a neutral court.

I am sorry - Kum by ya my lord, Kum by ya. Holding hands and singing has made me see the light for this game. I take back anything critical I have said.

That's true. Both teams played like the first game of the year. I don't expect this team to go undefeated. But this team is experienced and talented. They are going to be tested every night because of the expectations and the target on their backs.

I suppose I'm looking at this game with the eye of not it was a win, but comparing the team with how good they can be. If the expectations of the team and fans want to be met they need to base their performance against themselves and not their opponent.

Where was CU picked 3rd in the Pac-12? All I've seen is 7th/8th.

Again: it's November 13.

I have no idea how this team will turn out, but I know the best overall team, by far, in ISU history, lost to Drake, and peaked in March.

By my calculations, that's 4 months away which means expecting a team to play as well as they can, in a first game with a new coach with different philosophies, is kind of amazing.

I'd honestly be more worried if they came out and won by 30 without actually having to dig deep late. Lots of good stuff out there tonight.

Every player has his day. The 3 or 4 games he was on fire were awesome, but there's enough data on him to suggest he's not a strong shooter from 3.

Half of you are damn crazy. You know that right? Last years team would have lost that game. We buckled down on D, and we out scored them in the paint. Quit finding **** to ***** about and enjoy the win.

Definitely. This game wasn't always pretty, but will pay dividends later. It's a win. Let's get around 39 more.
