Colorado has a poorly constructed roster. Boyle has struggled to bring in/retain talent in the NIL era and their gameday thread focuses mostly on that.

Talent-wise this should again be a double-digit victory but if they hit threes like Iowa in Carver it could get interesting.

Lot of heartbreaks in Boulder over the years. That was then this is now. Vegas Insider sez Cyclones: -10.5 / 146.5 I think we'll cover.

I have 1000+ channels but not the one airing this game! :(

Just read that thread on their board and it baffles me. This is Colorado basketball that had zero history of winning before his arrival and Boyle immediately started winning 20+ just about every year and has churned out some good NBA talent in his time there in a place that has been a college basketball graveyard historically. What he's doing is just about as good as it gets for a program like that.

Feels like we haven’t played in forever

I agree. But I also admit that I just don’t go out of my way to find the break games against teams I’ve never heard of. Conference season couldn’t come soon enough.

Oh wow. Even with their win over UCONN, this wouldn't even be a Q1 win for us on the road because they are currently #76. That's not good. We should win this.
ISU needs to be strategic. If they can win by only 1 or 2 points the close loss to a top ranked team might be enough to bump CU into the top 75 and give ISU two Q1 wins against the Buffalos. (or is it Buffaloes?)

There was absolutely no doubt who the better team was when we smoked Colorado in Maui by 29 points, but the stars all lined up for us that game:

  • Colorado had just upset #2 UConn the night before while we suffered a crushing last second loss to Auburn a few nights before.
  • We shot 60% from the field, including 44% from 3. Doubt very much that will happen tonight.
  • We tuned them over 18 times for 37 points. They were going up against a TJ Cyclone team for the first time and were absolutely shell shocked to start the game. They will be MUCH better prepared tonight.
  • This game is on their home court and they are salivating at their chance to avenge the humiliation we gave them in Maui.
Looks like Vegas agrees that this 9-2 Colorado team is pretty decent and the 29 point thrashing in Maui might have been a little flukey as we're only a 10 point favorite tonight.

I'm guessing we still win, but we don't beat the spread, but that's just a wild ass guess. Sounds like TJ has been placing a renewed emphasis on defense over the break period, and that's a plus when you're hitting the road in conference play.

Using the SWAG method I believe we will cover the point spread.;)

Don't know where the BBall thread is but Auburn in a tight game with 2 win Monmouth early.

I think Broome is playing.

Basketball is goofy.

They're up 17-15 now, I think for our one seed hopes we actually want Auburn to blast everybody even though it means we'd be ranked behind them.

My goodness is CBS so much better than ESPN. We have seen it before with FB and BB broadcasts. Such a higher quality and unbiased product. Watching the Inside College Basketball show right now and they have a variety of analysts not from blue bloods, they cover all conferences and programs, and just did a preview of the B12 games tonight without the edgy BS that ESPN throws out there. They have a post-game show after the games are over tonight.
