Just started watching the replay and it occurred to me that for as much hype as Kayvon Thibodeaux got coming in, I sure didn't hear his name called very often.
He only had 3 sacks in 7 games this year. I imagine that their pass rush wasn't as good due to most of their secondary opting out before the season started. Thibodeaux is damn good against the run though.

They posted a stat on how highly ranked he was at getting pressure on the QB, and he was all over the place in the Pac 12 title game. Oregon's message boards were pretty confident he was going to give us fits. He wasn't invisible, but he was fairly well neutralized, imho.

Interesting, since I just woke up and was thinking about how Will McDonald now has 10.5 sacks on the season.

While not starting.

Feeling there's going to be a baby boom here in central Iowa just in time for the first Big 12 game for Iowa State.
That seems like a humble brag, but hey:

I have to admit, I’m a bit worried about this team.

Apparently we can only beat good teams with the initials OU and UT. So, once we’re OUT, we’re OUT.

He did make some plays against the run, but for the most part was a non-factor in the pass rush. Kudos to the o-line.

Biggest observation from the game was Mario Cristobal's resemblence to a UPS driver.

From what’ve I’ve seen he likes to wear that brown shirt in other games too. Why on earth when you have Nikes full factory at your disposal would you choose wear brown?

Someone should alert Hawkeye fans that those aren’t school colors

We have an ISR forum, mention them there not here. Only one week a year should they be mentioned in the football forums. Will give you two if we have a bye before.
I’m fine with it, if it’s relevant to the conversation. But it should not come up when talking about the color of the opposing coach’s shirt.
