I can overlook it. No announcers talk 100% about the game happening. ****, Madden is revered and he’d talk about doing his laundry in crucial game situation.
I don’t care if they mix stuff in, but time and place. Might as well not even be there if you’re not aware of a big 4th down play occurring.
True, announcers will stray some from the game. I'm sure when it's "my team" in a major game it's magnified.
The "Honor Golic's Career" segment seemed to overshadow the game -- not only that the announcers weren't calling the action but the camera strayed from the field during plays in the 3rd quarter. Either tim that segment or put it in pregame or something.
I don’t disagree that part annoyed me. But again, trying to look at it as someone not invested in the game personally, it was kind of a boring game at that point. We were up two touchdowns and our defense had stiffened where Oregon was struggling to move the ball to make up the difference.
The only thing still bugging me is why we didn’t send Hall over the top on that 3rd/4th and goal?
I think that is what was going to happen on fourth. He got his legs wrapped too early though.

finally got home last night after all the PHX to DSM flights were cancelled Sunday night.
I rewatched the game, and on the whole, the crew did a great job. The first half looked even more impressive the 1st time. the 2nd half wasn't sexy because it didn't need to be, we ground out the clock. ESPN had a lot of time for filler.
